Solo'd Shattered Throne and Wife's Response
So, last week, I made my go at soloing Shattered Throne as it seemed a good time. And after two hours, YES! Dul Incaru was eliminated! I pump my fist and jump up shouting. My wife asks what's going on? I tell her I just completed one of the more impossible tasks in Destiny. What do you get? she asks. Oh this emblem, I say. She's says 'uh-huh....' and goes back to watching her cat videos (or whatever it was she was doing).
Today, I get an email at lunch. In it she says: Was thinking of getting you a victory gift. What do you think?
A) Wives will mock incessantly if they can. B) I kind of want it.
EDIT: Thanks for the silver kind stranger!
EDIT 2: So, they have a copyright disclaimer on the order. My wife just grabbed the screenshot from light.gg's database (having no idea what any of this was until she found it). Now I know it's a genuine gift! But didn't place the order because don't know if I can! Sorry guys!

Guys, I got DFT'd! I got DFT'd guys!!!!
T SHIRT TIME!!!
The link to purchase this should be included as a signature of every DFT response
Ya down with DFT? YEAH YOU KNOW ME
ADD THE QUOTE TO A SLEEVE.
I'll inform her.
See, now we definitely need to know your wife's response to this honor as well
What's a DFT?
-bwahahahahaha!!!
Then: What's a flavor text?
I quickly read this as “Guys, I got DP’d!” and thought, “Wrong Reddit, friend.”
Says you. We could use some of that variety around these parts lately lol
I tried for 2 hours to solo Vorgath yesterday. Figured it was my best chance with revelery buff, it was an exercise in pain and i failed which in the end only made me realize how bad i am at this game. Glad a guardian somewhere got it done though.
It’s def doable, dude. I got it with my arcstrider hunter running way of the warrior with raiden flux. The melee buff from combination blow plus raiden flux melts bosses. Both Vorgath and Dul Incaru were basically named yellow bar adds with this setup. Plus, every time you proc combination blow, you also regen health.
I'll give it a shot with that setup for sure, thanks for the info!
I gave up at last boss. Took me countless tries over two days to beat the ogre. Huge rush of dopamine. If you want to non solo the end hit me up. I’ll run it with you. Sucked to lose my checkpoint at incaru, but i want that damn emblem and the ability to smash crystals in ascendant plane. GT = PastyG_76. My wife and i bought two PlayStations to play this together but there’s a six month old in the house now, so...slim chance but she could be third.
EDIT: i run hunter with invisible dodge. Have no idea how anyone has the patience and reflexes to do last fight while visible O_O
Patience is the key...I did it fairly easily with an ability tonic and invis. You can have invisibility at all times and even though it was slow, took 3 phases to finish off vorgeth, I never had to worry about being shot for the most part.
For the last fight, I also use infinite invis dodge (thank you tonic!) + Orpheus Rig. If you get a good tether, you can tether all 3 knights + the psions to get your super straight back and I just damage them with grenades then go invis when Dul starts shooting. The 3 knights should die pretty close to each other with the damage sharing from the tether. Only pick up the buff orbs dropped by the knights when all 3 are dead and with that, you should be able to kill Dul quite easily in 1 cycle with Whisper (each shot deals 999999 damage)
Same here, was just using divine blessings as a crutch to make runs between cover so I could lower the wizards and kill the adds and not have to worry about time between killing them as much when I was ready to do them. But after 4 hours and only getting to damage phase 10 times I gave up :( I’ll just wait for the next balance patch or whatever and try to get in on an OP weapon or some other event or something
I used the ability tonic on invis hunter to do it lol. After vorgerh, you can literally run past everything on the way to dul incaru. I would have had the flawless too, if I hadn't killed myself at vorgerh with a ward cliff shot. Biggest fail ever.
What character were you using? I did it on a Titan myself this last weekend using hammerhead/go figure and telesto.
definitely do-able!! just keep at it.
what was your loadout? it's important to make sure you have the correct mods on your weapons too. boss spec or the taken ones.
They make a cream for that I think
Why is that such a big deal?
I was not trying to trivialise it. I'm genuinely asking why it is such a big deal
