How to block "Sponsored" posts on Facebook?

Old script no longer working and it seems FB is really piling on the ads that pretends to be a regular posts. I see them maybe every 3 or 4 legit posts. Is there a new script that can be used or something?

Windows 10, Version 74.0.3729.131 (Official Build) (64-bit), uBlock Origin 1.18.16, uBlock Origin Extra 2.80 and Auto Refresh Blocker 1.19 are all I have for extensions not counting Google docs stuff.

The real question is why do you still use FB.

Exactly, they're pretty fucking evil. Deleting your fb account helps make the world a better place. At least OP is working towards blocking fb ads, which will hopefully deny them any ad revenue.

Because some of my older family members still uses rotary phones. It's either call 32 of them, get no answer for a while, write a letter, wait 3-4 days for them to get the letter, or post FB and get response in a few hours from all of them.

Use minds.com, has similar functionality, timeline, etc. Good for memes and sharing videos.

For me it does block group posts too, I need to see them on my main feed.

i'm a newbie. what are you supposed to do with this txt? add some lines to ublock origin personal filters? if yes which ones? thanks!

Add it as a custom list. After pasting the URL, find the apply button near the top of the settings page. It doesn't seem to make a difference for me, though.

How can I add this on my Ublock origin?

This. It's absolutely amazing when paired with uBO.

2

Absolutely. I love it and they update it frequently whenever Facebook changes their ad code.

This series of filters works well: www.facebook.com##div[id^=hyperfeed_story_id_]:has(a[role^=button]:has(> span:has-text(/S/i):has-text(p):has-text(o):has-text(n):has-text(r):has-text(e):has-text(d):not(:has-text(0)):not(:has-text(1)):not(:has-text(2)):not(:has-text(3)):not(:has-text(4)):not(:has-text(5)):not(:has-text(6)):not(:has-text(7)):not(:has-text(8)):not(:has-text(9))))

facebook.com##div[id^="hyperfeed_story_id_"]:not(div:contains(/^[class="timestampContent"]):not(span:contains(/^m$/)):not(span:contains(/^M$/)):not(span:contains(/^h$/)):not(span:contains(/^:$/)):not(span:contains(/^J$/)):has(span:contains(/^S$/))

facebook.com##div[id^="hyperfeed_story_id_"]:has(div[data-testid="testid-story-subtilte"] > span[data-ft] > span > span)

facebook.com##.userContentWrapper :has([id^="feed_subtitle_"]:has-text(Sp))

www.facebook.com##div[id^=hyperfeed_story_id_]:has(span[data-ft="{\"tn\":\"j\"}"])

www.facebook.com##.pagelet-group .pagelet:has(a:has-text(Sponsored))

www.facebook.com##.pagelet-group .pagelet:has(a:has-text(Create ad))

Try adding the "anti-facebook list" to UBlock origin.

If that does not work, install https://www.fbpurity.com/

I have done both of these things and I see no sponsored posts in my FB

I am wondering about the same but for Twitter
