iPad got stolen - how to access my iCloud backup?

Hi guys,

Basically my iPad got stolen and I had a PDF with notes on it that I need access to. On my phone I can go on iCloud>Manage Storage>Backups and my iPad has a 6.5GB backup, but I have no idea how to access the files. There's nothing on iCloud Drive.

Any ideas?

You can only use the backup to restore another iPad.

Well shit.

Could I back up my brother's iPad, then use his to restore my iCloud, then erase and bring back his own backup?

In theory, yes.

You can view data that is stored/saved in iCloud. But backups are an all or nothing endeavor, meaning you have to restore it to a device to access info contained in the backup. The part of settings (you name>iCloud>list of “apps using iCloud”) is different than a backup.
