MCAT - Do schools prefer certain sections?

I took AAMC FL1 a while back and got a 517 (127/132/127/131).

Just took AAMC FL2 and got a 516 (129/132/129/126).

This makes sense because I've been prioritizing the improved subjects and neglecting P/S. But given the same overall score, do schools care at all about the section breakdown? I'm testing on 5/31 so need to decide how to allocate my time in these last weeks.

I took mine a year ago so haven't paid much attention since, but pretty sure B/B and CARS are what gets looked at the best if they do a breakdown.

For psych, I'd recommend the 86 page Khan doc. I only used it for about 6 weeks and got a 131 in psych, I felt like there was nothing I hadn't seen before on test day.

If I were you I'd focus a bit on Psyc for the easy points, and focus on chem and bio equally at your weak points otherwise.

I think practice is probably the only way to go. I did use the AAMC CARS questions in between my practice tests. I'm not totally sure because I never deliberately prepared for CARS before taking the first practice test. I went to a fairly rigorous liberal arts school for undergrad which involved a lot of reading and writing term papers and an extended baccalaureate thesis. I also tend to read articles about different topics in general.

My husband teaches LSAT prep courses and talks to me about the LSAT questions a lot so I may have picked up some of the skills by diffusion, lol.
