Perfectly smooth stops to further improve Tesla's unique driving feel.
When coming to a complete stop with just about any car, there is a small jerk/rocking/bounce motion at the last moment of complete stop.
Given Tesla's software control of motor and brake behavior, it would be great if the dynamics of the last fraction of a second for a stop were controlled so that a stop happens without any last second rocking.
I achieve this manually by releasing the brake a tiny bit just before a complete stop. This creates a softer stop without a braking bounce.
What I can do easily manually, Tesla's software could do even better.
This would add to the advanced feel of driving a Tesla.
For safety, softened stops could be skipped for when the user requests a ASAP stop by hard pressing the brake pedal, or when braking to avoid forward obstacles.
