I can relate. One of the main reasons I farm is so that I can throw resources at my other characters.

Also, this was meant to be funny, not braggy :( I have around 90k inf left, and farming is SUPER boring. I just wanted to see how much difference those AT Enhancement Sets bonuses made at low levels.

Just make Multi-strikes and convert into Obliterations. Easy millions if you can get the initial investment. I think someone mentioned this a few weeks ago now.

Either way, I've turned a pretty good profit doing this here like I was able to before. I say all that to say I was in the same boat as you. Farming for inf is boring, so now I just spend 10-20 mins doing this and posting then going on to play :D

I've gone from 30m to 360m currently in 2 days or so. But again I only make about 20 or 30 enhns when I log on, post them and then go play. The key is to find enhancements that sell well. Namely Obliterations, Gamblers, and Aegis are really good sellers right now. Everyone needs them.

The next thing to remember is how much you're buying these for and what WW will take in tax. Usually if you can buy a Multi-Strike recipie for less than 1m you'll make money when you convert it to an Obliteration. You could also buy them and the converters for Merits if you have some. Either way, if you can get the recipie for less than 1m each, converter for less than 200k or so, and can sell it for 3+ million you're still in the black.

What item do you use to convert them?

Well I'd link to ParagonWiki if I could, and I can't seem to find the reddit post from a few weeks ago. But you'd need Enhancement Converters. You can search them on the AH or buy them for things like merits. They occasionally drop as well.

Like I said above, as long as you're buying them from the AH for less than 200k or so you'll remain in the black financially.

I’m giving it a shot. So far only one good conversion, but thanks for the tip.

I have no idea what any of this means. And I don't know what to farm. XD @Law if you have time to guide a new(ish) player, I'm level 33 as an SS/Fire brute.

It just means he spent alot of influence that he made on another character on this low level one.

LeadPrickOP•

Oh sorry, I'll explain. Even though that toon is only level 11, I put 2 sets of archetype specific enhacements, worth around 128mil influence, possible only because of how easy it is to farm inf with the proper character. This is represented by the set bonuses display on the toon info.

Care to share how you farm that well? :D

spines/fire brute doing either "rainbow" or "inf & ticket farm" farm in AE with xp turned off.

1
librarian-faust•

What is AE - the custom mission maker?

Are "rainbow" and "inf&ticket farm" a default thing, or is that on the Reddit server?

Why is XP turned off?

(sorry for dumb questions)

Cazam19•

Do you solo these or do in groups?

I could only find Spines as a scrapper. I'm trying it out, it seems pretty neat! :D

I don't even understand how thats possible.... I can barely get a salvage drop let alone basic IO recipes, let alone recipe drops with set bonuses

It's possible because he farms tons of influence on another character then mails the stuff to his alt.

Tin_Foil:controller:•

I'm gonna guess a crapton of AE Tickets. With those you can buy anything you need.

It's better money to go for standard rewards when farming AE. The salvage and recipe drops add up to way more than random rolls from tickets. The occasional purple makes a huge difference in inf gain

This guy is right on the money.

romiro82•

It just comes naturally with levels and then time spent at 50 farming either in groups or as a specialized solo build

1
JRave•

The salvage required to craft lower level IOs do not drop at 50. So its most likely AE farming with the Market to fill in anything missing.

Some farms yield 13mil per run, takes about 10mins. each AT enhancement for tanks cost 8mil. I'm broke now though :(
