Steam Guard is soooo fucked up.

Discussion

So, I haven't used steam for a while, I tried to log in and SteamGuard says I need a verification number to login, we will email you, no email, five hours later about twenty tries no email, OK I'll ask Steam for help. I check my email address, it says I'll send you an email to check that it's you, half a dozen tries later, no email. I then fill out this long form proving who I am and say I can't log in because Steam won't send me an email and submit it to Steam Help. Steam says, WAIT FOR IT, we'll send you an email to verify that it is really you. Guess what???? No FUCKING EMAIL EVER ARRIVES. So how can I get into my account?

Isn't the minimum age to be on Steam 13 anyways?

Ok. That's right. So? What is your point?

Problems with email servers and/or routing is entirely unrelated to Steam Guard. Whilst email may typically be near instantaneous there are any number of things that can cause delays along the way.

Wasn't born yesterday, I am over 13 and can read my email server. You don't get it. I can't get emails from Steam, BUT, I can't complain, because???? I can't get emails from Steam. What do I do. There is no way I can find to contact Steam because every contact requires me to validate it by responding to a Email. What do you suggest I do? Apart from losing it over the stupidity of the system.

The problem is your email. Is it sending to the right email address? You are complaining about the wrong thing. The problem isn't Steam, the problem is your email. Either you gave Steam the wrong email address, or the email server you are using is eating the messages.

Steam had the right address, I tried again today, took 2 minutes for an Email, but no sign of all the other Emails. Just another wasted day to Technology. I wasn't complaining about the wrong thing, I was complaining because the ONLY way to communicate with Steam was by responding to an Email that I wasn't getting, for whatever reason. If you had actually read my post, instead of skimming through, you would have understood that. Because Steam relies on the one technology (emails) to communicate it seems to me when it goes wrong Customers become isolated (and upset) (and frustrated). And that is why people constantly complain about Steam and other big Companies.

I read your post completely. But you fail to understand Valve has no control over your email servers. You not getting your emails is outside of their control.

12 hours and no emails???? Delay??????, and you can't contact them because they want you to confirm your complaint by replying to an email you never get. Give me a break.
