That's exactly what it feels like to read a leftist rag piece on how "men" can give birth, when the UK bans butter knives, or when sodomy is celebrated and shoved in everyone's faces for a full month. That's why "Clown World" is so effective - it requires no explanation because it's connotations are so visceral and simplistic. Its a razor that cuts straight to the reality of leftist lunacy with out any presuppositions.

Totally wrong, I did six years in the Marines, enlisted then officer, three war-zone tours including frontline combat in the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

I was a Libertarian when I enlisted, but after I got out and went to grad school on the GI Bill I started sliding left (and no my grad program wasn't particularly Leftist).
Mainly because more and more I was noticing that people aren't robotic rational actors, and the military convinced me of the utility of solidarity and unified community effort.
Oh, and seeing some people killed and others not was part of what moved me left, because it demonstrated how the world can be arbitrary and irrational, and the system we have isn't the best of all possible systems.
