It's been set to private for some reason. It's not related to visiting this sub.
EDIT - Actually, it says the reason in the message on the page: -
Following on from the announcement by Larry Sangler of a Social Media Strike. r/technology is joining the #SocialMediaStrike Click the links above for more info. Normal service will resume on the 5th
There are subs that use a bot that bans users of certain "hate subs" automatically, but in that instance you either get a ban message or find that you're just unable to comment or start new topics.
I tried visiting the sub without being logged in, still not available.

Your submission has been removed for the following reason(s):
Posts that originate from other subreddits, unless they mention, reference, or allude directly to GamerGate, or KiA, don't belong here. There will be exceptions to this rule in cases of events such as censorship of GamerGate-related topics, multiple subreddits being banned publicly, or major changes to Reddit policy. Basically, the sorts of things that can be shown to have a direct potential impact on the operation of KiA.
Issues with general moderation of other subreddits are better off in r/SubredditCancer.
it says right on the r/technology landing page why they're invite only. Nothing to do with KiA

Nah they’re virtue signaling over Wikipedia mentioning privacy concerns on social media sites.
