Visa retrogression right after interview

Hi guys! I have my EB2 AOS interview in a couple of weeks. I was going over the August visa bulletin today and I noticed that the priority date is shifting from current to Jan 2017 for this month. Since the interview is in July, is the retrogression likely to impact my case?

Thanks in advance for your help

The IO must be able to get a visa number in order to approve you. If the visa numbers run out before your interview, your case may be impacted.

I've heard the interview will still take place but the approval would be delayed until it becomes current. Is this true?

Yes

The. Visa needs to be available on the date your case is adjudicated. The officer may be able to adjudicate the day you have your interview (if he has all the info, docs, time and all checks have been completed). If not, you may be out of luck depending on your specific dates.

Yes it could impact you. The officers may try to approve the case quickly after the interview, but if they don’t get to it your case will be shelved until current again probably in October.
