Neither dev nor nightly. I've seen it happen with both the beta and release versions.

Yeah same. I don't even use Brave currently but it's still updating constantly and re-creating the desktop shortcut. Any idea how to stop that from happening? Preferably both.

Anyone else notice Brave creating a desktop icon every time it updates? It's only been happening recently and Brave must be updating regularly because I see it come back every other day or so.

I did a manual update today and saw the icon appear as the update finished.
