Before I got through with it and mess anything up, are there any unique benefits to doing a system transfer from my old Switch to my Switch 2? I wasn't aware it was an option until after I logged into my Nintendo account on the Switch 2 and already re-downloaded the games I wanted.

https://www.nintendo.com/us/gaming-systems/switch-2/transfer-guide/ says you can: "transfer your digital games, certain save data, and settings".

  • I've already confirmed I can re-download my digital games, but looks like the system transfer will automatically download all the ones you had downloaded before. No big deal, but could've saved me

Anyone else notice Brave creating a desktop icon every time it updates? It's only been happening recently and Brave must be updating regularly because I see it come back every other day or so.

I did a manual update today and saw the icon appear as the update finished.

I don't get any hits for this issue on support.brave.com or this sub.

This sub has pointed others to UAVfuture's YouTube channel that has various build guides from the last few years.

What are your opinions on some of the especially more recent builds? For a complete drone beginner (with soldering/build experience outside drones) would you consider following those guides to a T or branching out with different parts? Is there a specific guide from UAVfutures (or even elsewhere) you personally like best?

Here's a list for reference:

PSU leaking paste

Troubleshooting

While diagnosing some fan issues, I noticed something peaking out of my PSU. Here are a few pictures of what looks like thermal paste oozing from somewhere inside.

I did mount the PSU in upside down, which I wouldn't think would be an issue. Unsure if the paste would've melted toward the board had I mounted it right side up, or if that would've avoided this problem entirely.

  • Will this stray paste cause any issues?
  • If so, what's the best way to clean it up?
  • Do I want to mount the PSU right side up, or does it not matter?
  • Could it be a sign of a larger heat dissipation issue?

There are several Captcha/reCAPTCHA solvers that show up when searching for addons, but using them often flags you for automation and locks you out of a site.

I recall reading about an addon that helps you solve captchas faster while still using the proper manual way. It advertised eliminating the fade in/out time when you click an image and allows you to click and drag across multiple pictures to select them all rather than individually clicking.

Does anyone know the name of the addon?

Anyone having issues playing the show on Netflix?

There are a couple timestamps every episode where streaming will hang at 25% (or sometimes 34%, 56% or 99%). It only does it for That 70's Show and no other Netflix shows or movies. It does it so reliably at those timestamps that I can actually back out, play from beginning, and scrub past that time to bypass the issue. One example is in S1: Ep. 4 at exactly 12 minutes 30 seconds.

Trying to rule out it being an issue with the specific show, but so far it seems like it is.

A while back there was a post on Reddit, on most likely one of the main programming subreddits, that discussed a seemingly major issue with Node and NPM. The issue was a specific developer creating dozens of tiny, ~10LoC-sized modules for trivial things (like making a string upper case) but with fake inter-dependencies to all their other "micro" modules, such that if someone were to use one of them it would pull in all of them.

I remember using a dependency visualizer like https://npm.anvaka.com/#/ and seeing a giant messy web of dependencies for a module that: 1. should not need any dependencies, and 2. did not really need to be a fully-fledge

Anyone notice every site with ReCaptcha challenges from Google (https://www.google.com/recaptcha) require 4 - 5 challenges to get past a single page? Use Chrome with the same device and there are 0 challenges.

It makes Firefox almost painful to use.

Is this Google trusting their own browser to be more bot-proof and thus not needing captchas, or is this an avenue for Google to usher users to Chrome? Why 5 captchas and not the usual 1 or 2?

Not seeing anything on adventofcode.com or the subreddit FAQs, but how are answers expected to receive input?

Most solutions I've seen read in a file with an arbitrary name, but I'm not sure how that works if they aren't using a standard file name given by AoC.

My solutions have the expected output from the examples and work with the puzzle input, but fail when submitting.

Any links to how we're supposed to handle input (file vs input stream vs main parameter) would be great!

My first bike is a 2012 Ninja 250 with 8 miles. When I ride it it's very difficult to tell which gear I'm in at a stop.

I'm sure some of it is lack of experience, but it seems strange that when I stomp down several times to ensure I'm in first, I stall (because it's still in second) or there's no power to the wheel (because it's in neutral without a neutral light on).

Are there any mechanical things I should check on as to why it's not downshifting or why the neutral light only works sometimes?

And mechanics aside, how do you personally keep track of what gear you're in? Supposedly you're not supposed to rely on the neutral light, but what other way can you tell you're in neutral? Let out
