Product Recs for Perpetually Greasy Hair
Hi!
My hair is dry/damaged looking and typically frizzy, but also greasy even immediately after showering, no matter how much I try to rinse out the shampoo & conditioner or if I shampoo multiple times. I wash my hair every other day; the third day my hair is usually really gross looking from grease so I definitely need to wash it. I rarely straighten it or even blow dry it. It's my natural color now but was dyed a few times three or four years ago.
My hair looks like this from behind
I've tried It's a 10 and it doesn't seem to do much for me.
For shampoo, I alternate between Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three, a clarifying shampoo I was hoping would help with grease, and the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Shampoo. (Looking at the website now, I think I must have recently bought Shampoo 3 which claims to remove chlorine, when I meant to get Shampoo 2, which claims to remove buildup in general.) I was previously using a Biolage conditioner that is gone now so I need something else.
What should I use on my hair/do with it in general? I don't want a high maintenance routine, but would love for it to be a little less frizzy and less constantly greasy.

Hello, I have been a hairstylist for over 10 years. By no means do I have all the answers but I like to give options. First, how often are you washing your hair? Is your skin oily too? I would try to minimize oil by washing every other day and not putting conditioner on your scalp. Also if your skin is oily (which in the long run is amazing, less wrinkles) I would start from the inside out. There is a Hair Skin and Nail vitamin called HALO check it out on Instagram and it's made by a YouTuber Tati she's amazing. I love it.
I already wash every other day if not every third day, and my skin isn't oily at all.
