After getting permanent residency in Canada through Express Entry/FSW without having a job offer lined up as part of your application, can you take any job in your industry and not just those that have LMIA?
Assume a situation where you can't get access to your pediatrician or the internet for some reason for several days - is there a book that will help with general first aid for children?
I've got a baby who wakes up screaming every morning, and I'm hungry too so I put a pop tart in the toaster while I do a diaper change and then eat the pop tart one handed while nursing. It's not filling for very long and not healthy either, but it's easy and tasty enough. I'd like to replace it but I'm not sure with what. I'm not really a fan of burritos.
Any ideas?
Birth and Rebirth
I am waiting for transitions
For new lives to begin, in more ways than one
A new life the way life always starts
A new life in the modern way,
in the eyes of society.
Both with doctors, legal documents,
New names embodied.
I'll still be a wife, but different
I'll be then a mother, brand new
I wait as in the calm before a hurricane that may or may not break land
Could turn my world upside down or pass by without tearing.
It's likely some trees will be uprooted
But maybe the storm will pass quietly,
The air I breathe transformed peacefully into something fresher
There is no calming meteorologist with perfect predictions.
New lives open doors and invite in th
Anyone have opinions on learning Arabic as a solo beginner with Rocket Languages or Mango Languages, and the relative strength of each? Rocket Languages is Egyptian Arabic while Mango offers several other dialects too, though Egyptian seems to be the most extensive in terms of content.
Based on the CDC's warning about the potential for salmonella in unlabeled onions and onions imported from Mexico in the US, I had to toss the onions I planned to use this week. I feel like onions are the base of everything I cook... what are some of your favorite dinner ideas that don't contain onions?
In 2019, I wrote a check for $100 from my HSA that should have come from my personal checking. When I got the next months' statement, I realized the error and put $100 back in the HSA to cover the mistaken withdrawal. There is no plausible way it would have been considered a health expense.
At the time I made this mistake, I was not covered by an HDHP (and thus not eligible to make new contributions to my pre-existing HSA).
My 1099 for the HSA shows $100 in contributions for the year, and $100 extra in withdrawals. (I also made another, valid withdrawal during the year). My bank refuses to issue a corrected 1099.
What do I do? Do I need to just wait to get audited, at which point I pay
I'm not looking for recipe suggestions - in the store you can buy lentils that are not cooked, but already cut in half (aka, split lentils). What kind of machines or processes do the food companies use to split them?
What is love? Walking resolutely away from the house, phone pressed to ear, "I'm so glad you called, we've missed you here. Please do tell me everything."
On hold is another call, from an old foe, the Bladder; that pressure, that need, familiar yet feared. What were you thinking, walking away from home? When a far-away friend wants to talk, you talk, without interruption for merely the body's sake.
The needs of the soul are too great.
This chickpea salad tastes like experimenting.
With being vegetarian.
With activism.
With guys in their 30s who are paid to teach you to lobby your senators,
who happen to own a house all their own where you can have a picnic on the living room floor.
A little lunch leading to a little moment on his bed,
where you can feel his whole body ache to get down your pants,
feel his hands press at the warm places,
and when those pants come off he'll say,
"So this is what a 20-year-old's body looks like" as if he's never been one.
This is before, no, maybe after, he calls you a slut for flirting over text
but not letting him in your apartment for the first time while he's drunk
Hi!
My hair is dry/damaged looking and typically frizzy, but also greasy even immediately after showering, no matter how much I try to rinse out the shampoo & conditioner or if I shampoo multiple times. I wash my hair every other day; the third day my hair is usually really gross looking from grease so I definitely need to wash it. I rarely straighten it or even blow dry it. It's my natural color now but was dyed a few times three or four years ago.
My hair looks like this from behind
I've tried It's a 10 and it doesn't seem to do much for me.
For shampoo, I alternate between [Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three](https://www.paulmitchell.com/paul-mitchell/cl
Someone buy this rainbow tulle dress from Nordstrom so I can live vicariously through your pictures. I already have my dress but really love this one!
Any other brides out there who don't normally wear makeup? Part of me is excited to have an excuse to play with different looks over the next year before my wedding to figure out what I like to wear, but part of me knows I'm too lazy to wear makeup day-to-day. I definitely want to look like myself in my wedding pictures. How did you handle this tension, if you felt it too?
