[WP] A conquering Demon Queen completely halts her cataclysmic campaign against mankind much to the surprise of the human Kingdoms. Her reasoning? She has fallen in love with a painfully average human man.

part 2: date night with the devil
i spent all morning calling around for reservations. it seems that the earthquake really effected a lot of the local businesses. i did find a steak house open 3 cities over. its a bit of a drive but i think she will like it. i spent the morning teaching myself how to dry clean my clothes online since the dry-cleaners were closed.. i-it didn't go so well... needless to say i'm wearing my Hawaiian shirt and khakis! i hope she doesn't mind...
i walked into my living room and she was standing there. "oh i didn't hear you knock." Her forest green dress contrasted against her purple skin. "you look stunning!"
"T-thank you." i think she's a little nervous.
"i found a steak house open tonight. you wouldn't believe how many places are closed today."
"i can only imagine."
"the only problem is that it's about a 45 minute drive away"
"i can get us there faster."
"oh did you bring your car?"
"no. oh, look your shoe is untied."
"oh, look at that clumsy me..." i leaned forward to tie my shoe and i blacked out.
i came to and Veyra had me over her shoulder "oh... what happened?" i asked
"you leaned forward too fast and passed out."
"i did?" i noticed we were standing in front of the steak house "oh you drove us here, thanks Veyra. you didn't need to do that." i should probably go to the hospital if i was out for that long but i don't want to ruin our date. she set me down on my feet. i felt okay. maybe she caught me before i hit my head. "thank you Verya."
"for what?"
"for taking care of me while i was passed out."
"O-oh!" she swayed back and forth "it was no problem." i walked up to the front door and opened it for her. "thank you" i followed right after her.
"V-v-v-eyra!?!?" the hostess scream
"oh are you famous or something?"
"kinda..."
"you hear that?" i said to the hostess "an average joe like me going out with a movie star!"
"o-o-o-oh, i-i-isn't that wonderful" the hostess said "l-l-l-l-let me t-t-take you t-to your seats."
"thank you so much!" we followed her to a small two seater table by the window that overlooked a courtyard. "would you look at that view!".
"oh yes, very pretty" Veyra smiled. i pulled her seat out for her and she sat down. "thank you." i sat across from her.
"h-h-h-here are you menus!!"
"tha--" she was gone... "she must've had to use the restroom.
we looked at our menus for a while. "what are you thinking about getting?" i asked her.
"hmm." she stared down at her menu.
"you can have anything you want."
"anything?"
"yeah."
"they have Filet mignon!"
"go ahead." i smiled
"i couldn't."
"i'll get the same thing so you don't feel guilty" her eyes shined.
"thank you."
the waiter came to take our order "Veyra!!!?? uhhh.. H-how can i get you started today?" he must be a fan as well.
"can we get two of the Filet Mignon specials"
"Y-y-yes! very well sir! h-how would you like them cooked?"
"rare." Veyra said
"same" our eyes met. a fire ignited in my soul. she was so beautiful "Veyra your ey-"
"a-a-a-and what would you like to drink!?" i broke eye contact with her and looked at the waiter "AAHAHHUH!!!" he screeched as he crouched to the ground."
"are you alright sir?" i asked
"Y-Y-YES! IM FINE!" he shrieked
i leaned over and whispered to him "don't worry buddy i'll get you an autograph." he stared into my eyes. "it's no problem i'm sure. oh yeah! can you bring something nice for the lady? maybe some Champagne." he ran away in a hurry. "yeah he probably did need to use the restroom."
"yeah... that's it."
i looked back into her eyes "now where was i... oh yeah. your eyes are like fire! Your beauty ignites my soul! Veyra, will you be my girlfriend?"
"you mean it?"
"yeah."
"yes!"
"fantastic!" we held hands for the first time. her skin is silky and smooth. i think im in love.
the waiter brought us our meals and ran off again. "he must have a shy bladder"
we ate in silence just enjoying each others company. we finished the meal and "i just realized. they didn't bring us the Champagne"
"champagne!?" her eyes lit up.
"yeah... that's unfortunate. i hope they don't charge us for it.
"they better not!"
"hey Veyra, i'm going to go wash my hands." i got up from my chair and headed to the restroom.
as i was washing my hands i heard an explosion come from the dining hall "Veyra!" i ran out to a catastrophe. "oh my god there was a gas explosion in the kitchen!" i ran back to our table. Veyra was lying down on the ground under some rubble. "Veyra! are you okay!?" she got up off the ground. her dress was torn but she seemed fine "are you okay?"
"i'm fine."
"what happened!?"
"there was a gas explosion in the kitchen"
"i knew it!"
"look what i managed to save!" she was holding 2 wine glasses and a botltle of champagne "they came back with it right after you left."
she popped the cork and poured our glasses. we stood there amongst the dead bodies and obliterated building drinking our champagne "i had a lot of fun tonight" i said.
"i did too."
"Veyra?"
"yeah?"
"i love you."
"i love you too!"

part 1: Verya the demon queen.
My door bell rang and I got up to answer the door. I could see a very tall person through the window but couldn't make out their face. I opened the door to find a woman in costume. "Is it Halloween already?"
"..." She stood there silently
"I really like your horns!"
"T-thank you..." Her voice was deep but feminine.
I looked down at my watch "oh, it's a week early. You must've gotten the dates mixed up. Come on in though, I'm sure I have something around here. She came in and sat down on my couch.
"I have some cookie dough I can make some cookies!" I grabbed the tube of dough out of the fridge. I cut off a few slices and turned on the oven and walked back into the living room and sat down on the recliner across from her.
"So, who are you supposed to be?" I asked kindly
"Do you not know who I am?"
"I'm sorry I don't really play video games."
"I am no video game. I am Demon Queen Veyra! Ruler of the seven circles of hell!"
"Very interesting. I like it." The buzzer on the oven went off. "Looks like it's ready." I got up and went back to the kitchen. The room filled with the smell of cookies.
"You do not fear me?"
"Why would I fear a costume?"
"I am no costume!" She stood to her feet. "I am the demon queen and I demand respect!"
I walked up to her with a plate of cookies "well I have cookies, how about one of those instead."
"Do you mock me!?"
"No. I just thought you'd want a cookie."
"O-oh..." She grabbed one off the plate and took a bite. "It's delicious."
"They're store bought too."
"Oh wow..."
"H-hey you wanna go out for coffee? I've been stuck working inside the last few weeks on a project and I haven't seen the light of day."
"S-sure!" She seemed nice enough.
We walked outside and it smelled like sulfur and there were deep cracks in the ground. "That must've been from that earthquake I felt a few days ago... We get a lot of them here in California."
"I-i see..."
"It's a good thing my car is a convertible, I don't think you'd fit otherwise!" I laughed and she did too. We both hopped in the car.
"This is much nicer than my hell horse carriage."
"Yeah I got a big bonus last year and I decided to get the luxury package. Here it has seat warmers too." I pushed a button on the center console as I pulled out of the drive way.
"You feel it yet?"
"This is very nice. I must commandeer one for myself "
I drove through downtown. All the buildings were in disarray and whenever we saw someone they ran away screaming. "That earth quake must've been really bad."
"Hmm."
We drove up to the coffee shop but it was burned to the ground. "Oh wow, I hope Tom is alright."
"He isn't."
"Oh? you know Tom too? That's unfortunate to hear though, I hope he feels better."
"He died in my fire."
"I'm sorry to hear that. He was a good man." I drove onto the freeway "there's a coffee shop a few exits down. We can go there."
The freeway was covered in crashed cars, I weaved between them carefully "wow, I didn't think it was this bad." As we cleared the hill the next town over came into view. It was a firey hellish landscape. "Huh... Buncha gas lines must've broke. Well I'm out of ideas."
"The drive was nice at least."
"Yeah... Hey Veyra."
"Yeah?"
"Y-you wanna go out with me tomorrow night? We can try going somewhere else. Maybe a movie?"
"Sure..." She blushed.
"Do you need me to drive you home?" I asked
"No that won't be necessary." She stepped out of the car. "Meet you at your house at 6pm?"
"Sounds like a date!" She smiled as a screaming portal to the underworld opened up and she dropped down inside.
This was very cute, exactly what I was thinking. Thank you.
haha, i typed this while waiting to go to work. if i had more time than like 20 minutes i would've done more i just wanted to do a quick WP while i waited.
it's a cute idea though, i might play with it a bit. maybe do a longer story for date night? lol
I think that would be a great idea. I like how this scenario could be used in multiple ways and still give a wholesome outcome. I appreciate you giving it a try.
