I know mileage will seriously vary depending on rng, block and skip lists, choice of slayer master, but I'm interested in a rough approximation. Does anyone know what streak number they were on when they hit 87 slayer? I'm about to get off the wildy slayer tasks in 2 mysterious emblems. And wondering how many slayer tasks roughly other people did (63 slayer atm)

I just hit 85 Slayer on my 252nd task. For reference, I did exactly 50 Wildy Slayer tasks.
I'd say it's probably around 290-320 tasks for 87 Slayer.

I legit just hit 87 slayer, took me 533 tasks but I did quite a bit of point boosting at the start of my ironman for rune pouch and general slayer unlocks.
Using nieve for all of the 533 tasks, I really dont like konar even tho the keys are nice I still prefer the ease of nieve.
Any reason for not using Duradel?

Interesting. Jealous of your eternal gem, but I'm surprised you don't have Karamja Gloves 3 -- are you a pure or a special build where you don't/can't have 100 combat? Asking since the Karamja Hard Diary was the first hard diary that I (and many other people) finished.
rsn is same as reddit just a regular main, karamja and desert are just 2 diarys i've barely touched
Yeah I’m finishing up wildy slayer (59 tasks only 22 mysterious emblems dammit) and I’m already swimming with points, another 11 and I can afford an herb pouch haha. Not counting point boost would you say 400 ish?
If you do tasks at the highest level master you can, probably like 350. Also keep in mind, a task of 150 dagannoths would get you like 5x the exp by doing kings vs normal ones. Same with Vorkath on blue dragon tasks, demonic gorillas on black demon tasks, etc.
If you always do the quickest, lowest level monsters you can, ur probably looking at around 450-500 tasks. If you choose the highest level, most xp per kill, maybe more like 300-350.
With that said, you will usually complete tasks much more quickly by killing low-lvl monsters, so ultimately just do whatever makes you happy

Currently 300k from 93 slayer with 300 tasks done, 50 wildy tasks as well.
Hey, an update for you: I was this guy who had 85 Slayer on his 252nd task.
I did 50 more Wildy tasks to get all the cosmetics I wanted (101 in total) and today I got 87 Slayer on my 270th regular task.
So overall 270 regular tasks + 101 Wildy tasks to get 87 Slayer. If you only do 35-40 Wildy tasks for the rune pouch, I stand by the fact that it's probably around ~300 tasks for 87 Slayer.
I’m 50k short of 84 slayer, and my streak is 250 with 26 wildly tasks. In total I’ve done maybe 300. Not many were burst tasks so with 1m exp to go, i would say 50 more tasks at 20k exp each (which is a lowball estimate) that’s another 50 tasks. All in all I’d say about 400-500 tasks in total depending on RNG, which master you use, bracelets of slaughter etc.
Thanks for the info! It’s going to be a long grind but I’ve basically done all the prep (except fishing all the food) so it’s about time to get started
Yeah i just spent a full day afk fishing karambwans and now I have 2k of them banked so that should be enough for a long while. I’m only a few emblems shy of my rune pouch until I spend my 2k points skipping for burst tasks :)
