You know what the trouble is, Brucey? We used to make shit in this country, build shit. Now we just put our hand in the next guy's pocket.

The Sobotka family, not smart enough to see the end of a manual labour workforce. Dumb enough to try and prolong it.

This guy, not smart enough to understand the allegory, dumb enough to post anyway. Great nuanced take. Ugh.

There's no allegories in Baltimore. What are you even talking about ?

I think you just proved my point. The Sobotkas represent about half the country. Working class families. The first American generation to have fewer opportunities and lesser incomes than their parents. Whom you apparently just think are stupid and dumb because the world changed during their lifetime. If all you got out of that story arc is they are dumb or stupid, you missed the point.

Cry me a river with the false baby boomer crap. You just need to work harder and be born into wealth.

Another intelligent, nuanced point.

Can you blame them? They're underprivileged and undereducated like the hoppers in the projects. It's all they know but the system doesn't give a shit.

Manual labor seems to be thriving in China.

Actually they are moving away from manufacturing at a massive pace, Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh and India are picking up the slack as china moves towards the white collar and consumption era
