I love bands like AC that have a deep, living and sprawling discography. There's nothing more satisfying than taking a deep dive and peeling back all the layers of discovery. I've found similar gratification with Bowie, Guided by Voices, Autechre and Stereolab, but I'm always looking for more!
What other bands have offered you guys this experience?

The flaming lips and Ween both have very immersive discographies
Yeah I'd particularly recommend Flaming Lips if you sort of like stylistic changes throughout a discography. They've gone all over the place from punk, shoegaze, and psychedelia to stuff that borders on dream pop and dark ambiance.
They're mostly known (and rightfully so) for The Soft Bulletin or Yoshimi depending on how in touch with the indie scene people were, but I think that causes so many people to disregard the rest of the discography, which while not Soft Bulletin level, is great in its own right.

Beach boys
Some bad in there but also a ton of great stuff. Huge discography full of amazing albums, lots of interesting unreleased stuff and bootlegged stuff that is slowly getting released, and a couple of great solo albums.
Their run from '65 to 73' is solid. Some of the albums before and after Pet Sounds / Smile are crazy good. 'Today!' has some signs of things to come with Brian's introspective songwriting. Then there's Wild Honey & Sunflower which are probably the most influential on AnCo from what I've heard in interviews. The later Carl / Dennis era albums like Surf's Up and Holland have a nice, mature vibe which I've come to love.
Beach Boys are one of my favorite bands. Brian Wilson holds the key to my heart, soul, and life force.

If you're into more traditional rock music, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Now, the band is not traditional by any means, I just mean they are a rock band through and through. They released 5 albums in a single year. They already got 14 (about to be 15) studio albums. They tend to float through various rock genres with each passing album. So as a comparison to Animal Collective, you can expect something different on nearly every album, but every album you will know it's the same band.
