I can't for the life of me find a setting I wish I hadn't disable

Question

Hey all!

Just got a Galaxy S10e about a week ago. I was messing around with some settings and initially thought it'd be annoying to have the fingerprint sensor of the power button always read allowing the phone to unlock simply by putting my finger on it. But now, I'm realizing for the long term durability it'd be a good idea.

For the life of me, I can't find it in settings to change it back! Anyone know what I'm talking about and can help?

To Calrify: I use to not have to click to get the sensor to read my fingerprint. I changed something thinking I'd prefer having to click (I'm coming over from an iPhone). I would like to not have to click the power button to get it to read.

Thanks in advance!

Settings > Biometrics and Security > Fingerprints (enter PIN) > toggle "Fingerprint always on" to the on position

Thanks! This was it!

No problem. It's buried pretty deep in there, not too easy to find!

I don't believe that is an option. From my understanding the fingerprint scanner is always on when the screen is off. But that might be different for the s10e (I have the S10)

Maybe it's cause I have Always-on Display active now.

In the s10's case even if always on display is off the fingerprint scanner is active.
