Triggering symptoms before appt?

I’m currently undiagnosed. All my blood tests have been normal except adolase which was below range. I have a single brain lesion and none in my c-spine. I have an appointment next week for an EMG and NCS.

Heat triggers my symptoms and I get increased tremors, fatigue, muscle weakness, etc. It usually takes me a day or two to fully recover. I was thinking about triggering myself so they are testing me when I’m at my worst, however my husband will be traveling that whole week and I work full time and have a 5 year old and 6 year old that I will need to transport to and from daycare and take care of myself. We don’t have anyone nearby that can help.

Is it worth it to make myself feel worse before the tests or will they be able to pick up any abnormalities regardless? I do have intention tremors, numbness, tingling, weakness and all that good stuff without heat exposure but it gets way worse with it. I’m just so afraid everything will show up normal like all my other tests when I don’t feel normal at all!

Thoughts?

Hold on to every precious day of feeling right, because when that feeling is gone, it may never come back again.

I definitely wouldn’t advise you to make yourself feel bad on purpose. I know it’s tough when you are in the “we don’t know what’s wrong with you” phase, but the answers will come. Just keep being open and thorough with your doctors and the truth will come out.

I went through about 3 months of not knowing what was wrong, had a hard time walking, and really bad vertigo. It gets better when you get some answers and can get treated.
