When crazy people throw themselves into our cause, what should we do?

When you're a radical movement at the fringes of the mainstream, you attract a different kind of crowd that includes people who many would consider "undesirable".

One pretty obvious example of this is the Aryan Nations, who politically have a lot in common with the alt-right but are really something else socially, being a prison gang full of drug dealers and violent criminals. I think you could make a strong point that meth smoking, prison style skinheads don't have a place sitting at the table with the rest of the alt right, and should be turned away at the door if they try to associate.

How about crazy people? I'm talking about people with mental health issues who are obviously "not of a sound mind". These people can be more appealing then the methhead gangsters because their impaired ability to make good judgements can lead to them doing bold, low inhibition shit that makes them popular. But this popularity can be really dangerous, because then you wind up with a "leader" who is really just a raving lunatic who is constantly doing self destructive, irrational shit.

Am I a divide and conquer shill? No, I hope you believe me. I am someone who is concerned about the alt rights ability to get sane, rational, hard working normal people attracted to our movement and not just a fringe corps of crazy people and violent degenerates constantly spazzing out.

Sane and rational people can go listen to what our thought leaders say and know that we are not meth dealers.

The left never disavows their freaks and they don't have to. People just understand that they are freaks.

If you are concerned about attracting intelligent people...then those people can be like me. They can listen to the actual message rather than trust whatever nonsense that discredited institutions have to say.

Meanwhile not everyone in a movement can be a thought leader. You have to appeal to more than just the intellectual 1% to be a thing at all.

Many of them won't though. Most people do not bother seeking out what our thought leaders say because they are either not interested, not aware of them, or are too busy with other things. We have to reach out to them. What do you think are some good ways to do this? Our outreach online has been great but has primarily focused on gaming and meme culture. Where are some good big brain places to promote pro-white ideas? I've been posted in some of the more intelligent political discussion subreddits and they are usually surprised to see someone with my beliefs commenting at all. Nationalists on reddit have almost no presence outside of nationalist/reactionary subreddits and the subreddits dedicated to debating radical ideas like CvS or Debate(ideology). We have a lot of common ground with environmentalists. I think we need to be reaching out to the greens way more. Many of them are smart and aren't very familiar with right-wing green politics.

The Distributist made a variation of this argument recently saying that he didn't have to explain or apologize for radical militarism because he himself wasn't a militant, merely a radical. I would generally agree (I for one have no intention of multiplying human suffering, and I would hope the same is true of everyone here, though I'm sure it isn't). The problem with this model is that we don't control the media outlets, and it's increasingly looking like Silicon Valley may be able to engineer its way out of this problem, and that they will be allowed to do so with impunity. So even if CNN dies out (which it will), we aren't going to be allowed a platform anywhere that we don't build ourselves - and that sort of movement is already terminal because it just involves wasting energy preaching to the choir. We need to be where the normies are, and increasingly it looks like we will be effectively shut out of those channels.

Push and promote the term "Wignat"

It sets us apart from more destructive elements of the nationalist movement. Our opponents lumping us together with kkk and, well, wignats... is the greatest hindrance for our growth right now.

Just as long as you don't end up being called a wignat by some other group like some christian identiterian. But it'll happen, just you wait.

What you're talking about is an extremely important problem. Pro-white politics needs a better immune system. We need to be able to distance ourselves from the obviously insincere criminals who adopt pagan aesthetics or use ethnic tribalism to organize. We also have to find ways to more effectively prevent hopeless and angry young men from turning to violence. Nobody benefits from the deaths of innocent people. It's just sad.

There are moderate Muslim leaders and organizations who work with frustrated Muslim youth to help their communities, understand their faith, take pride in themselves, and become the best they can be. If you give people a positive outlet for their frustration, you can use that energy for good and prevent it from developing into the deadly rage that fuels terrorism. We need something like this for white identitarians. If the only available white identity politics people see is the shitty kind, that's a massive hindrance to the movement. People need to understand that they can be pro-white without being anti-poc. I haven't looked into it but we should honestly research what ways moderate Muslims have successfully saved mentally ill, criminal, and extremist Muslims from a life (however brief) of violence.

We should also try to reach out more to the middle class and intelligentsia. This can be done with better aesthetics, promoting the nationalist/traditionalist philosophy, and promoting our ideas in big brain or at least respectable areas (both online and irl).

I personally promote the idea that you should refrain from demonizing any group of people and remind people that while we should assert ethnic interests, it's important to also understand other groups suffer quite a bit as well

So on a person to person basis that's what I try to do, as well as try to shame what I see as idiots (whether shill or idiot is hard to differentiate)

But at the same time I take no responsibility for and will not accept being demonized by association

I lack networks/organization, unlike the left, therefore there's no structure to "hold accountable"

Nothing. For some public spectacle - It’s unproductive to even attempt to prove their connection is tenuous or even nonexistent. The msm will keep doing what they do. The time we waste tripping over ourselves to deal with this shit and explain it away is useless and is better spent on something else.

This is a great question because it also raises the broader question of how these groups (and criminals/mentally ill in general) would be handled inside a white ethnostate.

I think it's extremely important to distance ourselves mentally from the notion that an ethnostate would be a utopia... to begin to think in this way is to fall prey to leftist thought patterns.

The left basically marginalizes its crazies by not talking about/to them, then distancing themselves as far as possible

This is one of the reasons I cringe when people reach for false flag conspiracies after a right winger goes on a shooting. The public isn't gonna buy that, just distance yourselves.

The right, and the alt-right, has to cultivate an attitude of utter apathy towards people like that, including in public. Blacks, muslims, leftists, all have fringe individuals associated with them who go off on violent sprees. Somehow it never haunts them much. I suspect part of that is because they feel no need to fall over themselves disavowing anyone - they just say 'There's some stupid people in the world, what does that have to do with us?'

It's a great question. I guess it depends who you ask. Machiavelli would probably give one answer and Jared Taylor another.

Like they did in the past, good leaders. A leaderless movement will always eventually be taken by the crazies.

Avoid them, ignore them, encourage them to channel their um passions into less contentious issues.

We are dealing with issues that understandably make people angry and frustrated, if theyre already a hothead or mentally unstable, this isnt going to be good for them or us.

Tell them to join antifa. Theyd fit right in.
