Fakie stall, help me y'all

Can anyone give me some tips for landing fakie stall on a ramp? So coming up the ramp fakie and landing on the coping in backside stall position. Where to look, foot position and weighting, any progression steps etc. Not being able to do it is holding back my progression with other skills, especially frontside stall with fakie drop-in on the opposite ramp. Big thanks ๐Ÿ‘

For me the best advice I got was to keep looking behind you all the way up and until you're stalled. Keep your eyes on exactly the point you want to stall on and watch your skates hit it. Only once you're steady move your eyes forward.

I tended to get too worried about dropping back in too early and I was looking down at the ramp instead of up/back at where I needed to go.

Also it helped me to go too fast and overshoot it a few times to get the feel. Once I knew that wasn't so bad, I wasn't so nervous about the whole thing. I'm actually still working on it though!

Thanks. That's great advice - overshooting the coping to start with, and spotting the stall. Fakie confidence in general is something I need to work on. Big thanks for taking the time ๐Ÿ‘Š

What problems exactly are you having? What happens when you try? So you miss the coping, roll into platform, etc?

Just trying to get a feel for it tbh. Big mental block. Clueless.

It would be easier to demonstrate than explain with words but Iโ€™ll try....

When riding fakie you can pretty much have your entire body waist up pointing forwards. Only your hips down should be going fakie, effectively. To achieve this, scissor your feet a lot and open your leading shoulder so that from your headโ€™s POV you might as well be going forwards. That way everything else will be much easier and you can pump up and stall without much hassle.

Practice skating fakie like this on the flat first.

Thanks. Working on skating fakie on the flat right now, it's a weak area for me. So hopefully putting the right pieces together. Thanks for the advice ๐Ÿ‘Š
