How to change a build to include Headhunter

Fluff

I'm running disfavor cyclone champion as my character, and I randomly got a headhunter!!!! (from The Wretched). What changes should I make to allow the headhunter to be more effective?

I suspect I should remove brutality and impale, and switch to Slayer, though as noncrit I don't know if that's valuable. Is self curse temp chains manditory?

I don't have the currency for an inspired learning.

Why are you predicting the death of slowhunter? I feel like them capping time slow effects was the end of the nerfs to it.

Why would you run solstice, curse effect jewel and helm enchant? After vigil you only need another 45% effectiveness, helm and quality CoH already gives you 41%. Conq potency will get your 45.

Alternatively if you are TS you can use the jewel get +2 TS helm and still reach the cap.

I said IF you were TS. As that is probably the only time you would ever value your helm enchant slot enough to use a jewel and bunch of passives instead.

What the other guy said about self-curse setup.

The main thing with headhunter is movement speed and screen clear start to take precedence over damage and survivability. The faster you can move between rares to kill them, the more it snowballs.

I'd recommend switching to slayer for the easiest transition, that massive AoE is just too good. If you can't afford to swap to foil/3W prismatic, copy something like these folks

Headhunter is not exactly that great for melee physical builds because half of the mods you steal from mobs won't affect you. However, you don't need to do anything to use headhunter, just slap it on and it will be stronger than what you already have for mapping. Self temp chains make the buffs last longer which feels nicer but it's not necessary.
