Anyone have a breakdown of the island’s different type regions?
Dark: the crown/Shellder.
Normal: the head.
Fighting: the collar-thingy and the arms.
Psychic: the lower torso.
Ghost: the sea.
Any tips for beating Chandelure please?
[EDIT: typo. Also, I dun goofed, this strat doesn’t seem to have worked too well from the replies. Sorry.]
I’m farming for Stamping Stomping Tantrum Golett/Golurk at (0,-451). It should be barely on the edge of the clickable map, assuming you’re at Chandelure-1 (not sure if there’s a 2 tho). AOE 4* move doing tons of damage, plus they learn it by leveling up in Gen VI, so it should be easier to farm for than the alternatives, like Surf Slowpoke/-bro/-king. Dark Pulse (Gastly and Vullaby families learn it by leveling up in Gen VI) is also AOE, but the range is smaller.
Thank you for the tip, but what's 'Stamping'? I'm sorry, English is my 2nd language, so I'm used to playing Pokémon games in German, could you help me out? :)
Ich glaube, dass „Stamping Tantrum“ „Fruststampfer“ auf Deutsch heißt.
^(Entschuldigung, ich habe ein bisschen Deutsch auf der Uni gelernt, aber habe ich fast alles vergessen.)
Vielen Dank :) My English is kinda rusty since I'm not talking or texting with my US friends daily anymore :(
Your German skills just impressed me though O_O
I have a 1.441 cp Golett with Stomping Tantrum, boosted to 2.141. My ground gear is no more than 6 and 8 since I joined late D= And a 973 power Magnitude Gear. I got close, but just can't do it! Any tips or tricks? Should I boost always or go for fast attacks? Should I break the concentration with a boost or a summon? Any help welcome, just want to get past this! Doing ghost rare ores for later stages, so far only up to 4 4, with one soon done and another waiting to be done tonight ;)
Stamping Tantrum has a long onset, and as such is definitely non-spammable. You would have better luck charging it – with the caveat that after shield-breaking and rolling towards the boss, you’d either have the time to do 2 charges and 1 quick before rolling away (or you’ll get stunned), or do 3 charges then use the summon for stun-skipping.
There is also the option of using Rock moves, but out of all 4* moves, only Rock Blast is learnt by Cinccino by leveling up in Gen VI, meaning that it should be the only move that you have a realistic chance of landing. (Same argument applies to why Surf is so darned difficult to roll for.)
As for Ghost, Phantom Force Golurk should be the only bet. I don’t see Shadow Ball being useful. Shadow Claw might be better due to its crit rate, but might be slower at clearing mobs.
For Dark moves, Dark Pulse seems to be an okay choice. (Refer to the discussion with the other user.)
I ended up beating him with a Shadow Ball in the end, with a super lucky extra summon gear charge at the end! All other rounds I was missing one minion kill to get that last summon! (lvl 2 Dugtrio)
Just saw this now as I am trying to beat chandelure and it’s reminding me of pyroar on the last sea! Anyways, did you beat it yet? If so, how? Which Pokémon/moves/strategy did you use? Any tips?
I beat him with Shadow Ball. I got the closest with it, so kept trying. Ended up with a lucky extra summon near the end and beat him with my lvl 2 Dugtrio! Other rounds I was missing one minion kill to get that summon, so was down to chance. Now stuck on the next one! XD
What are the best Pokémon to farm for each type?
Mienshao 2 help? I can get it down to about 10-15% health left by using a Giga Impact Lilipup (~4800 cp after gears) with Snorlax SR gear. What super effective mon should I grind for?
I have a Synchronoise Chimecho, but it only has 1 slot and the move feels like garbage. Thanks
heyy, quick question: what's up with all the "dark/undiscovered" pokemon in fieldnotes, after beating gengar 1?
Tapping each boss in the second list of superbosses gives a pop-up with the sentence: "there don't seem to be any newly appearing pokemon".
I know there was a similar thing with lunatune in the previous sea, but i never figured that out. I never could get the second 'dark' lunatune to light up.
And now, there are pokemon that aren't double / don't appear twice. So, are these unlocked after the second bosses (despite the pop-up saying there aren't), or is it a bug or should i be able to find them (although they aren't opaque)?
You can complete pokedex for this island after the beating first gengar superboss. However, to unlock the one u r referring to, you have to beat the 2nd superboss between stage 25 to 30, as those locked pokemons represent the subboss of the more difficult version of superboss. Much like how you needed to beat final jirachi to unlock lunatine in steel area, because lunatone is the subboss of jirachi superboss and it unlocks a map that have jirachi boss and lunatone subboss, rather than staryu as subboss.
ah, it are the subbosses... thx!
is it only me or is it insanely hard to break shields now?
my golurk with Shadow Punch and 2650 CP legit cant break chandelures shield if i charge it
Try move with high single hit damage and long charge time like surf, hex or dark pulse. Some move can even break shield without charging.
Which moves can break w/out charging? I’m also having difficulty with beating chandelure
They are usually 5-star move like hyper beam, giga impact, solar beam, earthquake, superpower, etc. Shield breaking is based on single hit damage, all those are long charging, high base power moves.
Oh, too bad I can't use those attacks on chandelure 1
Does anyone know how to do the coin rush glitch where you can attempt it many times a day? I'm broke
Someone got gengara location? Area?

Has anyone found gengar coordinates ?
I can’t beat chandelure 2. I can’t even get it to half lol
Any tips on 19. Hydreigon? I can get him down to about 10%, so not that close....
Relevant Power gears; Ice - 12+13. Dragon - 7+8. Fighting - 6+7 (and growing).
What are the best moves? (including hard to roll for, I don't mind grinding if they work =P )
I've been in the same boat for a few days -- Fighting 10+8, Bug 14+5, Ice 16+12, Dragon 13+10, Fairy 13+3.
I was farming Haunter in the hopes of getting Icy Wind... maybe three days later, and I get a 1,690 Haunter with Uproar. The gears (18+14) were my ticket up.
I wouldn't recommend that, Uproar is just awful.
Edit: forgot summons. My only SRs are lvl 3 Blastoise and Gardevoir, and Garde has much lower damage than the others for some reason... ugh. At least the next boss was much easier.
I have only gotten to 19, yet I'm on 3.686th place! I struggled being that high last island, even though I beat the main boss! (not the extras though, but still! I had 3 lvl 2200+ pokemons, now my highest are 1691! )Does this indicate that this island is much harder? If not a LOT of people fell of all of a sudden ;)
Yes. Supposedly, nobody has beaten the last five bosses. On top of that, the 'Chandelure 2' fight has its max HP bugged out, so it has at least 5x as much health as it should.
I wouldn't know, I just beat 19 a few seconds ago.
With just a few days left to go, and still stuck on 19, I am still on 4.356. This is fairly low number for not even having beat the main boss, before the super versions. So in my estimate a lot of people haven't reach Gengar, or I would be much lower =P
Who and what move did you manage to beat it with? =)
Like I said in the other comment, a Haunter with Uproar. It only worked because my gears were basically level 16 each.
On the other hand, Uproar is an awful move and it took many tries.
I was trying to get a Haunter with Icy Wind, but the game would rather give me 4* moves than that 3* one.
It apparently can also have Ice Punch *4, but I didn't get any of those either.
On the upside, all the ghost farming made the next boss easy.
So sorry, I missed that it was the same person!! Just wanted a different perspective for more suggestions ;) I got EXTREMELY lucky!!!! My last rare ore from last island, brought over 6 and been taking them whenever I don't have one from this island. I refined my last one this morning, and got LAPRAS! I had enough Vulpix to get it to lvl 3 too! Was able to beat it first try using it! Just used Submission I think it was. Got to gengar, and obliterated him with my previous Shadowball + dugtreo lvl 2, this was who I used on chandelure! Yes, same one, not a new one with higher cp!! ;)
Those two where just extra hard!! D=
This island took me almost the two weeks to reach gengar, being stuck on 17 forever and 18 a while after that!
New week, new island, already gotten to lvl 20!!! Only reason I haven't battled Celebi yet is cause I need to find a specific Pokemon, and no luck yet! So just a few hours, while cleaning!!
Any suggestions on what's worth farming until next island?
All I know is that dark and ghost are both strong against psychic and ghost, so when it comes to gears only focus on one of those two maybe (though some island might provide you with only one, making it harder to find moves for the other, I would still focus on the other gear types before whichever type you didn't pick). If you meant pokemons, what 5 star moves to look for, I don't have an answer. Just beat Gengar myself =P
How to beat Scrafty the first one? I was focusing on ghost types and haunter doesn't really do that much with a low level of ghost gear.. any tips?
Scrafty resists ghost
Yea i chose a fighting type instead and cleared that stage :) thank you
Hope Jirachi returns at some point, was unable to get it as the game simply would not let me get a Jirachi - even after i struggled through all the Super Bosses. Spent three days constantly searching using the locations from here as a guide - and nothing.
Really has put a dampner on the experience - probably just going to focus on improving gears until another Legendary appears.

Not if you’re on iOS :/
COnsidered cheating on this sub + most of them don't even work well + doesn't mean you'll get your drop. Worse for r/SR gears but the game shouldn't be balance around third-party apps.

Hate to be "that guy", but Jirachi isn't a legendary. He is a mythical Pokemon. In this game there may not be much of a difference between the two though.
True, i expect if the same thing occurs again i'll miss out on both Legendaries and Mythicals. The game really is taking an odd turn.
