I want to what would happen if you did the photo shoot and then just handed them the memory card with an invoice and said “here you go”
“Can you shoot this house in like thirty minutes and get 36 photos to me today?” Oh and my last photographer only charged me $75 thanks!”
I've had that happen before. I suggested the broker hire that photographer.
I prefer to suggest that they can reach out to me when they can afford me.
"Oh wow! $75 for all that? You're definitely getting a good deal with him!" is my generic response. I try to say it without sarcasm.
Yup, you gotta roll with the punches! The weather you can't do much about but I set my delivery time at 48 hours; if they want the photos earlier than that, there is a rush delivery fee.
I've found that with most realtors, they will push on your boundaries (scheduling, cleanliness of the home, payment, etc.) and its up to you to set them early on in the business relationship. Don't forget to see things from their perspective, they are dealing with homeowners and potential homebuyers who are much less reasonable with their demands!
If you don't like working with agents, get good and attract commercial work and/or architectural clients, who have different needs and expectations.
I'm just a photographer, I can't change the laws of physics.
