Here's my coming out letter:

Dear Mom & Dad,

This letter is difficult for me to write, but I feel it is important. There is something I have carried inside of myself for some time now and feel ready to come to you.

I am transgender. Specifically, I identify as a woman. I have contemplated this for years, been fully convinced since June, and have been discussing this with my doctor, therapist, and my wife.

I'm an american, born and raised here, and speak no Korean. Any suggestions or advice on coming out to my mom, who was born and raised in post-war Korea and only speaks functional english?
