This is breathtaking. There's something about the summery pictures with the massive cumulonimbus clouds in the background that I just love. It reminds me of this picture by mocha.

You’re breathtaking

Reminds me of the seto inland sea. Beautiful. Also is that what eye test charts are like in Japan?
36
Also, do Japanese people just place such eye-tests randomly in their homes like calenders, or pictures?
31
Only Japanese optometrists are able to afford places with views like this!
18
I’m Asian (not Japanese, though) and we had one of those in my house growing up. My dad made me stand in front of it to check my vision weekly. And he’s not an optometrist, haha.
10
Yeah... There is that stereotype that Asian parents are complete nutjobs...

Hah. Same thing that caught my eye, found this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landolt_C
A Landolt C, also known as a Landolt ring, Landolt broken ring or Japanese vision test, is an optotype, i.e. a standardized symbol used for testing vision. It was developed by the Swiss-born ophthalmologist Edmund Landolt.

I love this sub, most pictures here convey feelings of lightheartedness and innocence to me, it’s great

I couldn't agree more. Also the sense of mystery and alternate reality some of them have is amazing
16
I wish I could live somewhere with a view like this.
13
Right?!
4
The mellow and lifeless inside of the house fits so well to emphasize the vibrant and dynamic outside, and the cloud above all is just beautiful
12
Scene straight out of summer wars

I was coming to say this! Great flick

lovely. like to think we'll preserve more places like this in reality.

This is probably one of my favourite images on the internet.

Reminds me of Your Name
1
It reminded me more of Summer Wars. Great film!
2
Your Name is shooting star artwork, summer wars is definitely the cumulonimbus clouds art
+hair, giant ass rural house, and clan symbols on those lanterns

Spirited Away, without such a sad undertone.

There's something about being able to open the balcony doors that wide that's making me feel all peaceful inside

When was the last time you appreciated how wide and open the world can be? I need to get back to that.
