This is one of the best tweaks you could possibly use

Can we adjust the length of time for hold? I find myself accidentally skipping tracks when adjusting volume.

if you want that then try spectrogram from the ichitaso repo. the duration for skipping is slightly longer there (but still you can’t adjust it yourself)

plus you can map flashlight, cc, nc and more and the buttons - worth a try!

i came here from spectrogram since it doesn’t work the volume increment changes from smartvolumecontrol2

also spectrogram didn’t let me change the volume on airplay (BT was ok though..)

Thanks! how much longer is it? I think half a second longer than VolSkip would be perfect and i like the vibration

so the vibration you get from taptic keys from the sparkdev repo (1$ though) or search for haptic feedback in here..

and for the length: i guess spectrogram is a little bit longer, maybe half a second is it or 0,3 idk. just try but delete the plist of volskip first, respring and then install spectrogram i guess (i had to do it like this..)

Just installed this and I must say it fulfills my needs exactly! The timing is perfect and the haptic feedback is still there. I also like that it's much more customizable. Can't thank you enough for this suggestion.

Thank you so much

Handy tweak, wondering why Apple could not learn other company on adding essential feature like this but keep adding stupid features that can only use in America or useless features. Android has this for may be 6 years ago.

Can we use double clicks instead of long presses?

Does an activator do the same thing?

I’ve tried it but it changes the volume simultaneously

Yes, you can do this with Activator as well, at least it worked for my SE on iOS 12.1.1.

I could imagine, that a standalone tweak for this task is more "lightweight" on the system if you don't use other Activator actions. But that's just a guess.

I just use activator for this

Are you using anywhere > volume short hold or something else? This hasn't worked for me since 11.3. I'm on iPhone 8 12.4 now and activator 1.9.13 beta 4. Still doesn't work for me.

Yup. Latest beta on 12.4. Works great for me. I posted a tutorial to fix volume in iOS 11+ some months ago but it didn’t get much traction

EDIT: added link

woah, I've never heard of this fsfix before. unforunately, I setup just like yours and my volume still goes up when I short hold up, and down when I short hold down. current setup: hold volume up: skip song, vibrate (flick), lower volume 1 step hold volume down: previous song, vibrate (flick), raise volume 1 step

It acts like it completely skips the "raise/lower volume" With fsfix installed, the volume behaves how we expect, but that "next song pause" bug is there, which is unusable.
