"Believe all women!".... until they accuse one of our own. Said it many times, it bears repeating: this is nothing but the actions of a "mean girl"-esque clique that runs certain segments of the media like they're back in high school.

Speaking of mean girls that poor kid who was under house arrest because the mean girls in his school gasly accused him of rape cuz they didn't like his voice had his suit against them thrown out because he slandered the by calling them "mean girls".

37
Acer_Spacer•

This is why I say lock up everyone involved with making and upholding laws in court cause they are all corrupt and senile as hell

23
KaltatheNobleMindClown World is full of honkies.•

Hah it's speculated that the judge that dismissed the case was the one who senrnaced the kid to house arrest and either was crony with the grils' dad's or let his ego get in the way of justice.

23
[deleted]•

I may be mistaken, but here's what I understand about the situation. The judge dismissed their suit against the Seneca Valley school district. It was a federal lawsuit, so that means it was no longer the proper jursdiction for some/all of their claims against the girls' parents. He dismissed some/all of their claims against the girls' parenst WITHOUT prejudice, which means that they can still go after them. It just won't be a federal lawsuit.

If I am correct, then that means it isn't over yet. However, for various reasons that I won't go into here, it may not go well for the guy and his parents. Obviously, I hope it works out for them. Let's see what happens.

wow, that's fucked up. No appeals?

6
KaltatheNobleMindClown World is full of honkies.•

Not that I know of. I admit I learned this info secondhand from a post on r/fuckthesepeople or a similar sub.

Rumor has it the judge who dismissed the case was the one who convicted him and thus there is unethical bias.

Leftism in a nutshell.

Looking at the actions of these people I doubt they believe in any philosophy. they just pay lip service to whatever they think is in power or will give them power.

Said this before but now I wonder if that Casting Couch came into play and those that didn't partake in it were kicked out the door. Maybe Vic knew what was going on and had to be silenced and unpersonned?

Summary: An affidavit written by Chuck Huber, VA at Funimation, has been made public. Some notable things are he defends Vic and claims that other Funi employees have been trying to smear him since at least 2003.

The big reveal this video focuses on however, is an accusation leveled at Chris Sabat, who has a great deal of pull in Funimation, recast Kid Goku and Gohan because the voice actress refused to sleep with him.

So the wonderful feminists on the #KickVic side have immediately begun to NOT believe the woman, claiming she was fired for being a drunk and slamming her for using the "casting couch" story to get attention for years.

If nothing else, the reaction to the accusation against Sabat is yet more proof that #KickVic doesn't give 2 shits about women being sexually harassed which is what they've built their whole witch hunt against Vic on.

The oddest thing, is that Chuck Huber wrote this affidavit. He's been around for some time and has a bit of reputation that he is putting on the line by siding with Vic. He is possibly risking his career on this claim. Now whether it is true or not, we'll have to wait and see. I for one have my popcorn in anticipation.

42
Jhawk163•

...which is why you would think he’d be telling the truth, why would he otherwise risk his job as a VA? He stands nothing to really gain by defending Vic, if he lied and said “Vic man bad” he’d be praised as a hero, for speaking up against the injustice and tyranny of bad Vic man. Everything is coming into the light and some seriously fucked up shit has come out about Ron Toye and everyone else attached to that side dragged their own name through the mud and just look like childish assholes wanting attention, meanwhile all that’s happened with Vic is “well he can be a diva at conventions” which, trying to find a VA or an actor that isn’t, is like trying to find healthy people in a hospital, they’re there, but they tend to not be the focus.

37
erasmusbeta•

One thing you won't have to wait for is retribution for his affidavit, apparently.

You clearly have no idea how convention staffing works. Certain members of the staff, who ARE the people organizing the con, pick the guests. I have fairly significant pull at the cons I staff. Chuck is not going to get an invite. Blacklisted. Period. End of story.

33
seronin•

What is that from? Whomever wrote that just got themselves a civil suit for retaliation.

24
PlacematMan2•

Wait Chuck could sue for that really?

Well if he does he should do a GoFundMe I'm down. Chuck is one of the OG anime voice actor greats come on.

22
TokenSockPuppetOPMy Country Tis of REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE•

This honestly makes it feel more credible to me since siding with Vic could end his 20 year career.

13
PlacematMan2•

Whoa is that why Kid Gohan was recast!?!

Well if that's true good for her for standing up for herself!

27
Ghost5410Density's Number 1 Fan•

Yes they said the “official story” was that she has a severe alcohol problem.

This is also why you don’t see her anymore because of her rejecting Chris Sabat.

25
seronin•

Here's what really happened (probably); Sabat decided to put a burn on her, someone got her drunk as a motherfucker, that someone then complained she had an alcohol problem.

8
PlacematMan2•

Or, the stress of the situation (again, if it's true), could have caused her to fall off the wagon and return to drinking again.

I bet he wanted her to roleplay, too.

“Sean...how did you erase the audio evidence from existence so Toei doesn’t terminate our licensing deal?”

“Muffin button!”

22
TokenSockPuppetOPMy Country Tis of REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE•

I shit you not, someone made a post on r/Funimation about how the leaks were deep fakes and it was "obvious" that Vic was doing all the voices himself. But also, the leaks weren't bad anyway because they portrayed the DBZ Cas as being pro LGBT.

So if we go for the Vic Did It scenario, that would make Vic Mignogna the greatest voice actor of all time as he was able to sound EXACTLY like the other VA's. If we go with the Pro LGBT Scenario, then they think liberally using faggot and incest is in line with LGBT activism. Not a good look.

28
Ghost5410Density's Number 1 Fan•

That’s why the Japanese VAs are fuming as well. They may not care about Vic but they do care about that leaked audio.

Edit: It’s “Unlicensed usage of Toei material” in their eyes is why they care.

14
WindowsCrashuser•

Because it wasn’t authorized by them to make this project.

12

at this point, i can probably say with absolute honesty, Team Four Star probably isnt looking so bad in the eyes of Toei anymore, they dont like them for making a parody dub of dragon ball with their own jokes and storylines, but this whole lawsuit is effectively hurting Dragon Ball in the US cause it's airing ALOT of dirty laundry that Toei would probably rather not be out there, bad press for the franchise hurts them too, i have a feeling if this lawsuit doesnt end soon, or even more fucked up details keep going, Toei may say fuck it and pull Dragon Ball's license from Funimation....and i dont see Sony trying to fight it because everyone knows, Toei is effectively the Disney of japan, they own the big name franchises of japan, and they arent afraid to fight in court either.

Much as I dislike Sabbat and Sean, they're damn good voice actors, and Dragon Ball is better with their dubs.

Pieces of trash; tho.

7

The silence from ANN, Kotaku, Polygon, etc. on this casting couch issue is telling.

They were all too eager to pounce on Vic when they saw the opportunity. Disgusting.

30
RaygunnerRei•

"Casting couch" (Spits drink) WHAT. WHAT THE FUCK.

Edit: I knew Sabat was an asshole. I didn't once think he was . . . THIS

22
anonttt•

As much as sabat pisses me off I need proof for these casting couch claims. Can't back Vic against monica's sex allegations but believe sabat got his fingers wet.

13
TokenSockPuppetOPMy Country Tis of REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE•

That's why I avoided stati g outright that Sabat did it, though apparently Huber has text messages from her where she says Sabat had been a creep to her since 2007. The big thing to me was the reaction, that suddenly you can't "believe women" for a mere accusation when one of their own is being accused. Even without evidence, this still makes KV look like hypocrites.

19
ronin4life•

The reality of the situation causing this reaction is itself evidence of bias and intent.

Dumb fucks couldn't even bring themselves to pretend to be honest or consistent.

0
FarRightTopKeks•

Well if there was anyone from funimation I did like as a VA its chuck. Hiei always there in the clutch.

6
TokenSockPuppetOPMy Country Tis of REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE•

I really like Chuck Huber too. He has such an interesting voice and is really talented.

Also, as much as I've grown to despise MrCreepypasta, I still listen to his production of Horror from the Vault because it's got Huber in it and it's a really good story.

5
RaygunnerRei•

Well I guess I can throw all hope I had of evangelion 4.44 finally getting an English dub out the window.

6
VenomSnake75•

I mean Sabat was not involved in the production of that IIRC. Was 100% Mike McFarland directing.

4
RaygunnerRei•

It’s still a Funimation production. Also. Is the guy a KickVicker?

2
VenomSnake75•

I’m guessing you meant Mike. He hasn’t said a thing and still follows Vic on Twitter

2
RaygunnerRei•

This point I’m just begging for the original Eva cast to come back and play their roles one last time after they got screwed by Netflix

There is no affidavit any more.

I think it has been demoted to "unsworn declaration."

TheModernDaVinci•

It’s kickvic and law-Twitters desperate last attempt to downplay them. Because Ty filling them wrong and changing it in short order is totally him committing fraud of the court and Vics case is toast because of it, just like the last 15 times we said it wasn’t and turns out it wasn’t.

32
Alesandros•

Gotcha...

The recent past has been insane in revelations against kickvic:

- Monica and Ronald were communicating with Kamehacon (phone calls and actual text message evidence), defaming Vic (per se), indisputably interfering with Vic's business prospects

- Original post by hanleia (claiming Vic was a pedophile) gets debunked... and the actual person is a former boyfriend of MONICA RIAL - no less.

- Ronald Toye has quite a history of domestic abuse

- Sean Schemmel making inappropriate sexual comments and homophobic comments while working (and voicing Goku)

- Other Funimation audio leaks (one of which shows Monica saying less than appropriate things).

- Allegations against Chris Sabat and his "casting couch", implying women voice actors were hired when they performed sexual acts for him.

... it's unbelievable. At this point, even in the unlikely event if Vic's lawsuit(s) was (were) to fail, the filthy laundry of many of our favored voice actors is being aired for all to see.

27
DevonAndChris•

Ty Beard has recalled all the affidavits. They are not sworn affidavits any more.

He probably recalled them because he committed notary fraud, and ignores all requests to show his notary logbook, which is part of the public record.

-13

Or he probably recalled them because if he was the one that notarized the statements (he was), then there is a possibility opposing counsel could call him as a witness, which is extremely weird and awkward. Hence downgrading the statements as unsworn(which is perfectly fine at this stage in the procedings) until they can get notarized by a 3rd party. You are a idiot for assuming notary fraud.

17
DevonAndChris•

I know this is what Nick said.

But you do not have to believe what Nick says.

-4
blueteamk087•

If he committed notary fraud, he did that smart thing in recalling them, because that can qualify for immediate dismissal.

Also, because he had to recall them, most likely will not be able to get them into evidence.

8
DevonAndChris•

He is not using candor with the Court. He threatened opposing counsel with sanctions if they dared to raise the issue with the Court.

3
Alesandros•

Gotcha.
