6A IH adapter flickers under load

My 6A adapter flickers (i.e. turns off and on in rapid succession) like crazy when I insert the vapcap and doesn't really heat it that much. It works fine without the vapcap but it just doesn't seem to be able to pull the weight. I've seen many people with 5/6A adapters so is it just a faulty adapter?

It worked fine with a 10A adapter but that heated the vapcap way to quick so a while ago I made this post about downgrading.

The IH worked fine with a 10A adapter and is based on this super nice post. Check it out if you want to make an IH. Also u/thisismytreesact is a super nice guy answering wiring questions like here.

I am also using a cheap chinese 6 amp power supply. Works flawlessly. Sometimes when I don't hit the momentary switch correctly with my dynavap, the led of the induction module starts to flicker. But I see why and I don't think that's your problem. Might be a faulty one. If the power supply simply doesn't have enough juice I think it would only heat up slower but not flicker.
