Most of this was just physical basketball chippyness, not fights and brawls.

The rivalry is now Jazz vs Rockets.

KozymodoBulls•

It's one way only then. Rockets dont give a shit about them

Maybe for the nephews. Stockton/Malone vs Hakeem/Barkley/Drexler. D-Will/Boozer vs Yao/T-Mac. The Jazz and Rockets have met regularly in the playoffs for 3 decades.

Jazz fans call this "The Shot" Rockets fans call it "ThE GrEatEsT MovInG ScrEen oF AlL TiME"

Your sentence makes no sense.

Well yea. OP said now so I figured he was talking about the recent playoffs where the jazz really got heated against the rockets.

That’s because those were good teams that met up close in terms of skill that allowed a rivalry to form. Past two years have just been the Rockets dropping dick off on the Jazz in series that are not even remotely close. Hopefully if they meet up again this year it’s a closer series because one sided matchups aren’t too fun to watch.

Lol, they make em so young in this sub

13
KozymodoBulls•

Well the guy was talking about now and in the recent playoffs they really didnt see them as rivals

They really should, Utah is rolling at least 9 deep if I’m not mistaken - Conley, Mitchell, Jingles, Gobert, O’Neal, Bogdonavic, Mudiay, Exum. Love Houston and harden but that’s a squad.

For comparison, Houston has WB, Harden, Tucker, Green (?), Gordon, Capela, House, Rivers, Chandler/Faried/Nene (listed those last 3 as one cause they aren’t as strong). Both teams are 9 deep atleast. Either way, this Western Conference is about to be a bloodbath

George is a phenomenal player but he came across as such a mental midget this series

Westbrook got away with so much bullshit in this game. Dude shoulda been tossed way earlier into the game.

Whatever, though, got a good memorable game out of it.

I feel like we really need crowder and it was a big mistake letting him go. If there was no other way to get Conley here then so be it, but our team is going to be soft like charmin without him

XsyJazz•

I'd much rather have the consistent shooting.

The refereeing that series was utter shit. Westbrook's bitch ass especially was getting away with everything.

I'm still salty he didn't get suspended the next game for leaving the bench to instigate. Apparently that rule doesn't apply to star players.

Poor Jokic

Was at this game. Best live sporting event I've ever been to. Some kids behind me kept getting upset I was standing up and one of them even kinda pushed me in the back, I turned around with eyes as red as the devils dick and told them they were in the wrong for not standing up lol they were scared, don't think they've ever seen someone so drunk and still competent. I was in the zone! So much fun

Thunder were a better team

How so? Both teams had the same record and Utah's average margin of victory was higher.

kqwinJazz•

It was also a closer series than it should have been. UTA had a 25 point lead with 8 minutes to go in the 3rd during game 5. It should have ended there, but the Jazz choked it away.

DrTom[PDX] Paul Allen•

Which was funny too because that OKC team was a poor 3rd quarter team. But they came out on dropped 37 points on you in the 3rd.

3
kqwinJazz•

Yeah...don't remind me lol. The two losses came at the hands of superhuman efforts from PG in game one and RWB in game five. I guess that's what you can expect when you play that type of talent in a series, but the Jazz were the better team with a stylistic advantage as well.

WildYams•

That's just Russell Westbrook. He always takes shots and plays like he's on fire, so when he actually is then he's a force of nature and is incredibly tough to stop. But when he's not then he ends up shooting his team out of the game by going something like 10-30, or shooting 19 three pointers like he did in Game 6.

edbenzJazz•

We beat them and you're still not giving us credit?

9
WildYams•

Yeah, I hate this "they were the better team even though they lost" crap. This isn't a single elimination tournament where either team has a chance to win one game. In a 7 game series the best team always wins unless there's like injuries or suspensions or something. You don't just luck your way into 4 wins like that, you do it because you were the better team.

Melo was really really bad this series. His match up was Derrick Favors and Melo couldn’t even attempt to box him out
