Cale hookers non trade story is the best

So with all the hype & bullshit of trade time (especially for us bombers supporters) I thought I’d share cale hookers non trade story as I’ve not seen it on here before...

So the story goes the bombers under Thompson were looking to trade cale. Paperwork was signed, all done & dusted. It was James hirds task to deliver the paper work for signing to cale. Hird was away at the time so sent some bombers officials around to cales place to deliver the news & get it signed off on.

Apparently cale got wind of this so locked his door & refused to let them in. As this was bang on the trade dead line, the time passed, trade was dead in the water as they couldn’t get his approval / signature & we retained one of the best defenders/ swingmen the game has seen.

Anyone else got a better near miss, near gain trade story?
