This build has been about two years in the making. It started as a bar hopper and has become my primary ride.

I found the frame and the rear wheel (with the Paul single speed hub) about the same time and it was all downhill from there.

The hardest part to source was the silver Thomson seatpost in 27.0mm. They haven’t made that diameter in silver in a looong time, but of course once I decided on it I had to have it.

The newest addition, the Velo Orange Klunker bars, has been wonderful. I wanted a more upright position than I had with the Nitto Bullmoose bars previously, and the klunkers were perfect.

Next on my list is a matching front wheel and skinwalls. Down the road I may decide to upgrade the drivetrain to 1x11 but for now singlespeed all the way.

Full build list:

That bike looks rad! It's modern, but also reminiscent of the klunkers the original mountain bikers used to take down Mt. Tam (in Marin so the brand is especially fitting).
