Is it just me or is assistant consistently getting more and more useless? Via mic btw.

I am not telling you that it's not also mishearing commands, that's between you and your google... but your screenshot is a google search result probably using the microphone icon for voice to text. That is not a google assistant response.

I know that. I just got a new mic and remembered I could use voice search on google. After the response was weird I decided to try it out using my home mini which of course also failed spectacularly.

As with everything else Google, it feels like they've lost interest & moved-on to something else (likely another messaging app).

That was the on the computer. I have a home mini next to it. After asking it about the weather it responds with:
I think you want to get the weather forecast for today. Is that okay?
Why is this shit getting so utterly fucking useless? It's like they are actually removing functionality by the month. First, playing music via Spotify got horrible. Then, slowly, functionality for my Hue lamps got taken away and now I can't even ask the weather anymore. What the hell is going on here?
Edit: It's not just that. The light cues on top have been getting weirder and weirder lately. Before, you could gauge when to talk because the leds worked like a que. Now, they just blink, wait, hold, delay and confuse the hell out of you.
The light cues are probably different as a result of continued conversation. For most this has been a large improvement... but I have definitely seen others complain. I don't really watch that, if it lights up I assume it's listening and I go.
