Inconsistent results casting to XBR55x800E
I frequently cast from my imac to the TV (about 6 mos old) but have noticed that about 20% of the time, I'll get video only, no sound. I do the exact same thing every time; more often than not it's the same site (college athletics webcast). Resolution seems to be a combination of patience, luck and prayer, in varying amounts. All other streaming - Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, youtube - works fine and my home wifi is healthy. Has anyone else noticed the same or have a suggestion ?

Best suggestion for a product that works natively with a Mac is an Apple TV or an Apple TV 4K
My opinion of Apple's direction on streaming services and devices is probably fodder for a different sub, but suffice to say that I am not eager to invest more in their ecosystem. I sort of get what you mean about hardware compatibility but I can cast flawlessly to another old school hdmi-attached chromecast device on another tv so i feel like the problem is somewhere in the way the TV is designed or set up. Thanks for the feedback. I was just curious if anyone else had seen this kind of behavior.
