I got a new Daiwa BG 5000 and notice that the bail does not trip when I reel. Is this a defect or a feature? I know some reels are intentionally manual. I’m fine if that’s the case but can’t seem to find any info to confirm it.

I either have the most inconsiderate colleagues on the planet of DND status doesn’t work as advertised. Shouldn’t it actually block people from messaging you when the status is set to DND? Or is this for informational purposes only?

Every time I copy a link to a document I get a massive url....I don’t see any way to grab a shortcut or do a hyperlink to a word in a message post. Am I out of luck or missing something.

I routinely have to mute chats from meetings that I’ve declined. I’d be drowned in incessant pop ups if I didn’t. Why should I even have to do this? Is there some setting that controls this?

Scenario - I have a conference call running through Teams with a dozen attendees. I need to use video but also need to share a document that is stored within a separate team. How can I access the document in the Teams viewer and share that display to the meeting attendees? I don't see an obvious way to do it other than to download the file, open on the desktop come back into the meeting and initiate the share from the meeting window.

Can anyone tell me a good way to fix a hole in a hollow core door? I have a hole about the size of a quarter and I'm not sure how to patch it up.

Complaint: Every conference call sounds like a mic check at Woodstock. Feedback, echo, reverb. If I had the luxury of tripping all day I wouldn't mind but I have to pay the bills.

Question: How is this best diagnosed? Is it a problem my IT team should be able to solve or is this larger?

I'm in a meeting with screen sharing...another colleague messages me separately from the meeting. My choices appear to be watch the screensharing and ignore the message or expand the chat window to take up 75% of the screen and reduce the screen sharing to a size too small to be useful. Am I missing something? Why can't I dock or float the chat while i'm engaged in a meeting?

Whenever I join a meeting my video is automatically set to ON. I found some MS article that indicated this is by design. Is that accurate? Is there no way to set the default to OFF?

Wtf... the WiFi on my 6 month old Bravia just stopped working. Completely disabled and won’t come back. Anyone have any ideas about this one??

I frequently cast from my imac to the TV (about 6 mos old) but have noticed that about 20% of the time, I'll get video only, no sound. I do the exact same thing every time; more often than not it's the same site (college athletics webcast). Resolution seems to be a combination of patience, luck and prayer, in varying amounts. All other streaming - Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, youtube - works fine and my home wifi is healthy. Has anyone else noticed the same or have a suggestion ?

What am I missing? Why would I like dark mode?
