Chris Farley is the most overrated comedian ever

He died young so he gets the overly romanticized treatment. He was a one trick pony and his career was already starting to fizzle out in 1997.

The masses will jump on you for ever suggesting he isn’t the most hilarious man ever, when the majority probably just saw the Matt Foley sketch once and nothing else he was in.

Agreed. the whole "loud fat man funny" routine has never been my cup of tea.

I think it's more that his comedy style was timeless rather than the scale of it.

There are assuredly funnier men but hell you can't help but relate to his style of Comedy a bit, even thinking about it now makes me chuckle a bit ha.

He was funny in his time. Wasn't the best, but his snl skits were top teir. I don't think he'd get as much reception today though.

I found him to be so af. Not funny at all, just loud. David was the real star between the two of them.

Norm MacDonald says Farley was the funniest guy he ever knew. I give that some credence. And Farley always made me laugh. I don't really get the concept of "rating" comedians anyway; it's not a competition.

How can a dead guy be overrated?

Lol. Next time, refer to the dead using the past tense.
