The Pirates traded Daniel "WORLD SERIES CHAMPION" for Corey "no rings" Dickerson

HOW COULD YOU NEAL

Remember when we traded him for Corey Dickerson and TB didn't even keep him for the Opening Day roster?

I'm not complaining about that trade. Dickerson was a good player for us, and Hudson was buns in Pittsburgh.

Yeah Hudson was shit and we were paying him way too much. That was a very good trade. I'll give Huntington that one.

And then we were able to flip Corey Dickerson into Cash Considerations who is everyone's favorite Pirate.

Definitely Nutting's favorite Pirate.

My annual post-WS misery is kicking in plus I live in Nats country now and have a Nats fan trying to talk shit to me right now.

Can we get a competent franchise to pull this off just once so the end of October doesn’t make me fucking miserable

Anyone that wants to talk shit on a pirates fan is ignorant, our team causes us more pain than any shit talking could do🤷🏻‍♂️

Unfortunately, no.

I too live in Natsville but most of my buddies have been pretty cool about this whole thing. Mostly cause I’ve adopted the nats as my sort of “step-team”. They’re not nearly as obnoxious here as in other cities

The nationals just won a World Series with 2 decent relievers and those guys were Hudson and Doolittle (not the elite relievers you always hear about). They were able to win a quick nlcs series and leverage their starters in the bullpen a lot, but still that was very impressive. Literally did not need that good of a bullpen to win a World Series like everyone talks about.

22

A big reason why they didnt need that good of a bullpen is because they had great starters.

Beat me to it. Almost as surprising as Ground Chuck in '17.

It’s honestly unbelievable

More or less so than WS MVP Steve Pearce?

More. Definitely more.

Morton was a hero in game 7 in 2017

Steve Pearce won WS MVP in 2018

Huddy made the final out tonight. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. Went to high school with him. Got hooked up with autographs when he played for us and he recognized my group in the stands above the bullpen. Was sad to see him get traded from us.

Just like we all predicted.

Dude overcame not one but two Tommy John surgeries. Today, he's a World Series champion. #respect
