That's amazing. Do you have some kind of description for that map? Like the countries/kingdoms, maybe some lore?

Being the second map I've ever made, I used this as a trial run before I make one centered on my lore. However, a few things on this map have been inspired by my lore and other works.

  1. The island to the north is a tip of the hat to Narnia during the first book when Jadis was running things.

  2. On the western continent, you'll see settlements hidden by mountains just north of the lake. I wanted to put an Elven castle or a city in tribute the the famous middle earth city of Gondolin. In my tale, there shall be a hidden city so I was testing out how it'll look.

  3. There're only a couple of dark lords. One of them resides in the volcanic region in the east. This one's a bit "In your face, I'm in charge here, I want to dominate you" chaotic evil type of a villain who gets destroyed in the middle of the tale by the strong and combined forces of men.

The other hides beneath the barren hills on the south. This one's a lawful/neutral evil kind of villain who's subtle, largely ignored but extremely dangerous. He seeks to destroy rather than dominate. He starts out weak but gradually builds up an army of fire-wraiths(formless spirits of flame, he needs to harvest human bodies because he can't construct efficient humanoid bodies for the wraiths to dwell in), assassins and spies to weaken and destroy the formidable kingdoms of men and elves. The wraiths emit very high temperatures, hence the red wastelands.

All in all, not much lore for now :)

Wow, thanks for the story. If you happen to add some more, be sure to post it here.

For real amazing man, where have u found some of the assets for this? I’m assuming this is wonderdraft?

1
FellsongOP•

Thanks.

It's Inkarnate Pro version, I suggest you check it out it's worth it.

Ahh makes sense. If I was running multiple games I would totally pay monthly for it. But I can’t justify it right now.

As someone who used to use Inkarnate, I highly recommend checking out wonderdraft if you haven't already. You can see the kind of maps that can be made on r/wonderdraft and its only 20 bucks.

Holy crap the geographical layout is almost identical to one of mine, also made in inkarnate. That's spoopy
