Fume mitigation in my basement

So during wisconsins lovely winters i am forced to do the finishing of my projects downstairs in the basement. I am looking for something that will extract the fumes from paint from my basement and not allow a lot of cold air inside as well. Can some of the seasoned pros here give me a few suggestions? Thank you.

If you figure out a way to exhaust the fumes, just make sure you figure out what air is replacing the air being exhausted. If you are nearby any gas appliances, or other vented items (which is often the case in basements) you don't want to bring in their carbon monoxide or smoke.

....or vent your flammable fumes in the direction of your gas-fired appliances.

You might want to check into ERV units (Energy Recovery Ventilation). Basically they exhaust the warm indoor air outside, but transfer some of the heat to the cold outside air coming in in a balanced way. Most units are intended for whole house use but I've seen smaller units for room or area use. You might have to poke around.

Thats a really good idea. Thanks!

Just set up a box fan in the door/window. Tape off with heavy plastic or blankets around it to keep drafts from coming in.

You will need to have air coming into the room from somewhere if you are exhausting air
