If that par is right, that's a 17-under round!!!!!

Yep, 22-hole layout, but definitely a 17-under. Pretty impressive.

I just looked up the Ratings records on PDGA and see the highest rated round ever for FPO (as of the end of 2018; haven't checked through 2019 stats yet) is a 1058!

Wow that's awesome!

11 tournament birds in a row! I know how sweet that is.

But I have no idea how sweet a 1030-rated round is. *sigh*

Keep in mind pdga round ratings are based on the field average that day. So if everyone else plays relatively badly, then the rating will be artificially inflated. Not to take away this amazing round, which it is. But if there was a mens open division playing the same day and course, that would push the ratings down.

But the propagators’ player ratings have already taken those kind of rounds into account, so the PDGA understands their skill level regardless; her round rating probably wouldn’t change much in that situation unless everyone there played worse than normal, which is unlikely.

It would, but -17 still beats the best round the men put on it during league on wednesday (-14, Pete Ulibarri) Still a little salty Jen's -11 is rated higher than mine though.

Yeah, I think we’re all familiar with how the rating system works, thanks for that.

I was not. The added explanation was very helpful, and doesn't downplay the accomplishment in any way.

I mean, it does though.

She went -17 on a 22 hole course. Doesn’t matter what the other rounds were. It’s -17. The rating doesn’t mean crap.

Right. Just because he said "Not to take away this amazing round..." doesn't mean it's not downplaying the rating that was earned. In fact, that is the ONLY thing it seems that the post was intended to do.

Aw I hadn't watched yet. I know we do official spoilers for big events, but can we use NSFW or similar for these. Not picking on you op, upvote and like the post, just wish I didn't know the result.

I highly doubt this was filmed by anyone...

Oops I misread the title.

I almost said a similar comment, but could not find any coverage. So, perhaps this does not impact the new policy for spoilers.
