Google is buying fitbit - what do you reckon the chances are of fitbit becoming supported for adventure-sync? This could be a very useful addition some some players if google and Niantic see the possibilities.

I reckon Adventure Sync will never work correctly.
Works fine for me.
Integrating into their Google Fit platform will take months/years

It might, but it probably will take a while. Although, I got myself a Mi band 3 a while ago (my Alta HR's battery was dying in hours, had to change it), and it syncs to google Fit. Tested it if it works with Adventure sync, left my phone in my locker at work yesterday, and when I finished, after about 5-10 minutes my steps were synced and egg I had incubated hatched. So if you're looking for a tracker that works with AS, it might be worth looking into?
Apple Health refused to sync with Fitbit because it’s direct competition for the Apple Watch. So Fitbit has never worked for Adventure Sync on iOS.
Google buying Fitbit doesn’t change that.

In fact, no. Many have asked if fitbits is compatible. Google buying fitbit, and therefore making it arguably more likely that this will actually happen is new.
