[Resolved ?] French serial killer Fourniret constructed his alibi during the disappearance of Estelle Mouzin

The Estelle Mouzin case is a French criminal case that began on 9 January 2003 with the disappearance in Guermantes in Seine-et-Marne of Estelle Mouzin, a 9-year-old girl who was then returning from school.
This disappearance has not been clarified; the investigation is ongoing
What happened and initial investigation
On January 9, 2003, Estelle Mouzin, a nine-year-old girl, disappeared on her way back from school in Guermantes, while she was returning to her mother Suzanne's home, which is in the process of divorce with her father Éric Mouzin, who lives about sixty kilometres away in Le Vésinet, with their eldest son Arthur. His mother, who returned from work, reported his disappearance to the local police station in Lagny-sur-Marne at 7:30 p.m.
The police initially thought it was a runaway but started looking for it. The next day, the Meaux public prosecutor's office opened a judicial investigation for the abduction and sequestration of a 15-year-old girl, and charged the Versailles SRPJ with the investigation. Divers surveyed all the water bodies in the area in vain. Estelle was last seen by a passer-by at about 6:15 p. m. in front of the bakery, 750 m from her home. The investigation led by the Commissioner of the Versailles PJ, Jean-Marc Bloch, used unprecedented means, such as the search of the 350 houses in the town on 14 January, which mobilised 170 police officers, 300 gendarmes and CRS to block all entry and exit to and from the town. The case received extensive media coverage in France.
In July 2003, the police launched out on the trail of the serial killer Michel Fourniret, arrested in June 2003 in Belgium. However, after considering the hypothesis, the police ruled it out because of an alibi: a telephone call to his son that the suspect allegedly had at his home at the very time of the disappearance; however, this unsuccessful call does not confirm that he was made by Fourniret himself, although the Police are convinced of this. For his part, his accomplice and spouse Monique Olivier says that Fourniret laughed and said that it was not him, when he saw a TV show accusing him of Estelle's disappearance. Psychiatrists tend to think that Estelle is too young by Fourniret's standards, while Monique Olivier thinks she could be his target. Two weeks before Estelle's disappearance, a girl of the same age was abducted by a man in a white van and photographed by her. Following the Fourniret hypothesis, the girl who was almost abducted in the same municipality was shown her picture and she claims that he was not the one who tried to abduct her. By taking the police to a place where he buried a young girl, Fourniret describes his clothes which, coincidentally or not, are very close to those Estelle was wearing on the day she disappeared. Despite this alibi and the suspect's denials, the hypothesis of the link between this case and Michel Fourniret was, more than three years after the disappearance, again taken into consideration by the Charleville-Mézières prosecutor, after the discovery of a television recording and photographs of the girl at home and in the suspect's computer.
In 2013 new NDA research found no traces of Estelle's DNA in Fourniret's van.
Suspects
Nordahl Lelandais, this was written up here. But he was doing his military service at the time, abroad.
Eric Fauchart, pedofile and suspect (convicted?) in the Estelle Berenyss case.
Fourniret: The 76-year-old Fourniret, nicknamed the 'monster of the Ardennes', was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2008 for the abduction, rape and murder of seven girls and women. Last year he also confessed to the murders of the British Joanna Parrish (20) and Marie-Angèle Domèce (19), both of whom had disappeared in the French department of Yonne in the early 1990s.
New Information
Monique Olivier, the spouse of Fourniret at the time, has admitted that she was the one that made the telephone call to Fourniret's son. This leaves Fourniret without an alibi.

fourniret told the justice some years ago that he was the one who did it but it wasn't invistigated due to the shitty alibi (calling a son he never talked with and the son doesn't rembember the call). there are lots of mistakes in this affair
Interesting, I was wondering why he wouldn’t just confess to this also and it sounds like he has?
he has but in his way. fourniret is a manipulating bastard, he's very perverse and control everything (for example, to tell to a judge where he buried a girl, he gave a visual representation made of paper and yogurt cups, like a puzzle or an enigma). so, for estelle mouzin, one time when he went to jail, he said he had three other murder to confess, among them was estelle mouzin, but there wasn't any proof. a second time he told "without me estelle mouzin would be alive". as he's fuzzing everything he tells the police believed that sometimes he lied to them
