Any good, live music Dec 15-18?

I'll be in town those days for work. I've never been to Salt Lake City before. I'd love to go see some bands play. I know those aren't the hottest nights of the week to have bands play, so I was hoping someone could help find something for me to do.

Go to Diabolical Records in downtown when you get a chance and chat up the owners, either Adam or Alana. If they’re not there, the shop’s usually got a local milling about that knows what’s up.

Their websites a little weird, so look them up on Insta if you’ve got one @diabolicalslc. They’re super friendly and very plugged into the local music and concert scene no matter what type of show you’re looking for. Chances are they’ll have a show at the record shop that night or they’ll have deals on tickets to other shows.

Don’t forget your hearing protection!

Edit to add: Skimmed the smaller venues calendars. Yeah those nights are pretty dead, but The Urban Lounge is having a local band night on the 17th at least.

One of my favorite record shops. They host electronic open-mics for the synth shop.

Also grab some coffee next door.

That actually sounds great. Thank you

Edit: the cheapest ticket is $43. I know of him but haven’t listened to him enough to pay that much. Too bad. Thanks for the tip though
