Is it worth upgrading any of my parts?

Got a nice bonus at work and I've been thinking about upgrading my rig. I have a ryzen 1600 with a 1070ti and a 1080p 75hz monitor. My choices are pretty much between the processor, which I'm leaning towards a ryzen 3700x or a new monitor, obviously I want a 144hz monitor. I just dont know what will be the most beneficial. Is the upgrade to a 3700x worth the cost? What's a decent 144hz monitor?

The 1600 is still a good chip. It can definitely handle 1080p at 120hz so that's probably fine for another year or maybe even two or three New monitor now, and wait to see what AMD has to offer with their next generation. If it's still on the AM4 platform and the value is there then 4th gen ryzen is what I'd go for. If it's not that much better than 3rd gen, get a discounted 3600 or 3700x for that sweet sweet IPC boost

What's a good monitor is really based on your price range. Look on Craig's list and see what's there, if you don't find any good deals then look on Newegg and Amazon for a good deal like something from the Asus Tuf line up if you don't really care about color accuracy or maybe something from the Acer Nitro series if you're willing to spend the extra cash

a 144hz monitor, at least in terms of competitive gaming, is less beneficial than higher fps can be, but if you want the 144hz because itll be smoother and whatnot, then hell yeah.

I think you'll get a lot more bang for your buck upgrading your monitor. I'm assuming you're looking to play games, and the 1600 can still crush modern releases. Unless you have some serious workloads like rendering videos or compiling code I think a upgraded CPU won't be a noticeable difference.
