It has been too long since we had an A-4 post.

So there is a reason why it has been a "while" since the appearance of an A-4 post (A-4 is actually a common repost):
It is already added to the list.

Look at rule 6 and the Google Sheets list of all GJP posts that have been added. Take a look at how to format one as well.
Thanks!
Cheers!
HOLY SHIT ITS VIPER
See you next week A-4

The arguments against the A-4 in WarThunder have weakened with time.
We have supersonic planes now, so speed is not an issue.
The F-4 has a greater bomb load, so that isn’t an issue.
Guided Air to Air and Air to Ground missiles are well established, so the fact that some A-4 variants could equip these is a non-issue.
We have a B-29 and no nukes so the fact the A-4 could possibly carry a nuke is also not an issue.
When Gaijin?
We have waited long enough!
Its absolutely crazy ass rollrate?
You think that alone would make it too powerful to add to the game?
Potentially, yes.
I don’t think it will be a problem for 2 reasons:
1: Roll rate is a single metric and it alone does not make or break a plane. There are several planes already in game with excellent roll rates. This doesn’t make them invincible.
2: Gaijin will often “adjust” flight characteristics. They could just give it a very good roll rate without the full 720 degrees per second it may have had in real life. To further support this argument, pilots were prohibited from exceeding 360 degrees per second according to the A-4 NATOPS Training Manual because of potential aircraft structural damage. Gaijin could easily use this as an excuse to reduce the roll rate. Add any external stores and that roll rate will be reduced even further.
