I have been trying to find printed copies of DCS manuals but they seem to be rare. It looks like someone used to sell them years ago then stopped and a few people have experimented with local print shops but the cost has been about $200 per manual. This is too high for most people.

I really want printed copies though, and I am a little stubborn.

I found a print shop that accidentally ordered quite a bit too much inventory before COVID-19 hit. They are willing to make a deal and can lower the cost of Perfect Bound manuals with quality paper and full color to ~$50 each or even less if there is enough volume of manuals printed (This was for about 20 manuals).

I recently purchased an ROG G703GX and it arrived today. I went through the initial startup and got far enough to install Steam. Unfortunately, as my games were downloading the computer suddenly gave me the blue screen of death with a Machine Check Exception. The PC attempted a restart but was never able to reboot.

Turning the Laptop on will give me a glowing keyboard but that is it. Black screen. No activity at all.

I am returning the laptop and hopefully the next one will work. This is the second ROG laptop that I purchase and arrives defective. The first one also had hardware issues. ASUS replaced it and it has worked since, but they really need to take a hard look at their quality con

I’m looking for possible alternatives to the 703GX with it a roughly similar price range. Unfortunately, a desktop is not an option as I travel extensively. Weight is of no concern whatsoever. Performance that is reasonably portable is what I am looking for.

I want to know of some potential alternatives to compare with. I am not dead set on RAID SSDs but the RTX2080 is a must have.

To be honest, I am worried

I just had a match in the F9F-8 where I lined up behind a B-57B that was not making any evasive maneuvers and fired an AIM-9B within 2km.

The missile sailed right past the B-57B nearly striking a wingtip.

Ok, that’s weird. I fire off another. I am now just over 1km out, directly behind a B-57B that is seemingly AFK climbing as he just isn’t maneuvering. Again, I get a lock and the missile seemingly flies through the target.

What is going on?

As the title says, currently only Bombers can be flown in Squadron Realistic Events. Is this a bug or is it a “feature”?

Has anyone had issues with this recently? I tried the Microsoft troubleshooter to no avail. This thing will download almost to 100GB and then restart FROM SCRATCH. I am seriously considering getting a refund.
