Blade is worse cuz fs will go through the boss/monster where as sword can get blocked by the boss/monster.

i would love to challenge it too but unfortunately i have only one good ranged unit (Noelle) and AFAIK it's nearly impossible to do it with 3 melee

Yeah, hmc is quite restrictive. Have to break before waterfall goes off if you want to run 3 melee, I don't think it's impossible but it'll have its challenges too (other than just the waterfall, melee units stepping into whirlpool etc.) Regarding ranged units, louise can be swapped with any other bow. Most of the damage is from victor, the bow is just there for coab to give to noelle, to buff victor. I don't have freyja so that's kind of a big deal, but it's basically victor + noelle + any 2 other ranged dps.

There’s no rng element to it unless you mess up and need something lucky to happen in order to save the run.
