Schizophrenia
How come in season 7 episode 4 when it's finally revealed that the patient has schizophrenia and she was hiding it from her husband they made it so much more dramatic then it had to be?
The husband even gets upset and asks House what he's going to do now like if he should divorce her.
Why'd they make the schizophrenia sound like it was an STD that she passed to him or some other awful thing?
They even mention it's a mental illness so they should be feeling bad for her instead of upset and blowing it out of proportion. I get that she lied but the reaction doesn't fit for what the diagnosis was.

I think that the husband got mad because she hid her medical from him.
Yeah, but his reaction was way to angry and it was more aimed at her being schizophrenic than the lying. He even said to house that how is he supposed to stay with her, that now it's going to be hard because she's schizophrenic.
There's medicine to treat it and he's been living with her way before he found out she had it so there's no reason he should've reacted like that to the diagnosis.
He's angry she lied, uneducated about the illness so most likely thinks it's worst than it is. Legit 2 scenes later he goes and makes up with her. If I found out my wife I knew for years was schizophrenic, yeah I'd ask my doctor's if living with her would be unsafe or manageable.
The true anger for me was how the psychologist didn't figure that out. Like how fucking stupid of a psychiatrist do you have to be to miss what's most likely the most known mental disorder. I get where you're coming from though

Yeah, that was also weird and annoying the psychiatrist couldn't figure out a mental illness and one of the major ones at that. She really wasn't ready for House's team.
