My therapist said to not isolate myself, but it’s happening naturally when everyone cancels plans on me.

I planned to have a holiday party this weekend. All of my friends bailed last minute after I cleaned and bought drinks for everyone. It was such a lame excuse like “I’m feeling tired”. I’m always the one reaching out and they are always saying they are busy. I’m doing all I can but I’m getting isolated.

Then the next day this guy I’m dating said he was coming over, never showed up and never read my messages (this has happened before) and the rejection all in the same weekend is too much. Yes I’m isolated but not by choice. What else can I do? I’ve put myself out there. I need to get better friends and relationships because I don’t want to be treated this way. Makes me just want to give up, I’ve been so strong lately but I keep getting crushed.

When not invited to the party ... BE the party!

You don't need anyone to justify you. Just be you. You'll find that once your confidence builds, so will your friends list.

Life's just screwed up like that. It's all I can tell you. Don't whine about it, just adjust to it. That's how 'fake it until you make it' works by the way.

You're so good looking! :) (Hope you get that reference!)
